First trip to Sri Lanka

Jeya and I had the privilege of spending the last six days in Sri Lanka, and I can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable and memorable trips I have ever made.

Before arriving, I had formed a very different picture of the country. I had been given the impression that Sri Lanka was relatively underdeveloped, but I was pleasantly surprised by what I experienced. The roads were clean and well maintained, the traffic was remarkably orderly, and there was a sense of calm and organization that stood out immediately. Having travelled extensively in India, the contrast was quite noticeable. Although the city we visited was not very large, it was modern, well planned, and had all the infrastructure needed for comfortable living.

Many people told us that Sri Lanka is one of the most beautiful countries in the region, blessed with breathtaking scenery, mountains, beaches, and lush greenery. Unfortunately, our schedule was full, so we were unable to explore much beyond our ministry commitments. That simply gives us another reason to return in the future.

One of the greatest blessings of this trip was the opportunity to spend time with Dr. Tissa and his family. They welcomed us with such warmth and genuine Christian hospitality. We were deeply encouraged by their lives, their ministry, and their unwavering commitment to the work of God's Kingdom. Our conversations with them were enriching, and we came away having learned many valuable lessons that will continue to shape our own ministry.

Above all, we thank God for opening the door for us to participate in the seminars. It was a joy and privilege to minister, encourage God's people, and share His Word. We are grateful for every opportunity He gives us to serve, and we return home with thankful hearts, fresh encouragement, and many wonderful memories of a nation and people who have left a lasting impression on us.

Now at the departure lounge, awaiting for your return to Singapore. To God be the glory.
