Jehovah Jireh

Answer to prayer: Last week Pst John Signey highlighted that the training center in Kanyakumari needed some repair work to be done and also beds were needed for the students. Currently they were all sleeping on the floor. The kitchen also needed some refurbishing. Praise God for the immediately response. A sum of $2000 was received and made in favour of the training centre. Its amazing to see how God's people respond in the time of need. Time and again God has proved His faithfulness. .. Can I doubt His tender mercies who through life has been my guide. .. p hrase in the song "All the way my Savior Leads me"

Speaking Engagement

This morning I was invited to speak to the youths of the Family of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Woodlands. The topic was "Presenting Christ to the Hindu World". I shared on the urgency to share the gospel, the challenges and the means how PEC is involved. Elder Benjamin who invited me to speak said that the presentation was an eye-opener to many of his youths. All Glory to God.

God's Providence

Answer to prayer : Praise God for providing for the needs in AP, India. Pst Steven informed that he was able to secure a donation of $10,000. Thank God for the people who are willing to give sacrificially. Devotion - The Measure of Worship

Image
Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. I love to worship God both corporately and personally. But what is the true measure of worship? Can it be measured in the first place? How often I have heard Christians say, "the worship was not good today, I did not feel the presence of God...". We forget that we are the worshipers and God is to be worshiped . It is God who must say whether the worship is good or not. For some worship and the presence of God is measured by how we "feel" in the worship service, echoing the "eros and the hedonism culture". Jesus said, "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." - Mat 18:20. It has nothing to do with how we feel about it. In some other congregations worship is associated with noise and tempo. The louder and faster the beat, the greater the pre

Dairy Farm Project in B*

Answer to prayer : An old friend donated the capital need to kick-off the project. The income generated from this project will be used to run the necessary training program and send missionaries into the interior. Praise God for answering prayers and for people with the heart to support missions. We are praying that this will become a pilot project and can be replicated in AP, India and elsewhere. * Abbreviated for security reasons.

Father's Day Delight

Jessica called from San Francisco and yelled, "Happy Father's Day, Dadeeee ". Reena, recovering from a bout of flu, moaned the same. Jonathan prepared the best supper of the year, specially toasted Ham sandwich. Hmmm ...Can imagine how Issac felt after eating the venison . "Children are a gift from the Lord.... Psalms 127:3 ( NASV )

Father's Day

Image
It's Father's Day again. Got the following from Pst Joey(Session 828)'s mail. "Dr Raymond Baber had this to day: Description of a real Dad - A real dad is caring, considerate, concerned, conscientious; he is capable of establishing a warm loving, lasting relationship with his children who in turn, are proud to call him "Daddy" Three things for every father to do regarding their children: 1. Dedicate them to God 2. Discipline them wisely 3. Develop them spiritually" Received this sms from a friend today: "Happy father's day to one of the most loving dad I've known...." Well good to know that someone thinks like that but what my kids say of me determines my worth. Need to draw strength and help from the best Father of all...My Heavenly Father.

Devotion : Seeing the Big Picture

Mark 4:35-41 Many times I thought that when Jesus asked the question, "Do you still have no faith?", he was referring to their faith to calm the storm. But I am reminded of a song we sang in Sunday School, "With Christ in the vessel we can smile at the storm". It did not say "calm the storm" but rather" smile at the storm". The storm was not an end in itself. That gave me a new perspective of looking at the passage. The setting: The disciples were having a great time of learning at the feet of Jesus. The crowds were overwhelming and Jesus had to use a boat as His pulpit. Jesus taught them many lessons; the parable of the sower, the parable of the mustard seed and many others. I am sure the disciples would have loved to make that setting permanent, just like Peter who proposed to build three tabernacles on the mount of transfiguration. But when evening came, Jesus instructs His disciples to go over to the other side. Usually in the evening, people

Inauguration of Training Centre in kanyakumai , South India

Image
The inauguration program was conducted on 17 Jun. Pst John Signey reported that it went well. 10 students will undergo 9 months of training and thereafter go as missionaries in the unreached areas of Tamil Nadu. Pst Nehemiah from HYD was there as the guest speaker. The finance for this program is supported by Rama, Jeya and Aunty Mercy Veni. Its a joy to know that 10 students are undergoing this training. In the words of Pst John Signey, who is running this program, "When I look at the faces of the students.I am broken and speechless. God's promises never fail". All Glory to God.

Returning Home - Pst Job

Image
It was with great sadness that I received news that Pst Job who has been battling with a tumor in his brain, succumbed to his illness on 17 Jun. The funeral was this morning in his hometown in AP, India. Pst Job is one of our Rural Area Evangelism Team Leader and a great church planter. A good and faithful servant. Pst Job leaves behind his wife, a son and a daughter. Our prayers are with the family. May his church rise up to carry on what he has left.

Reflecting on the trip to Maui 19 Apr - 23 May

Image
Video - A tribute by Session 828 - "To Rama with Love" God is good and showed His favor. 58 participants from 23 countries. It was an amazing experience to be the Resident Coordinator for Session 827 and Session 828. Men from different walks of life but with a heart for the Lord. Great men who were challenged to make strides in evangelism. Managing the sessions was hectic but thanks to Raffy and the team, always on the sidelines to render help. The faculty was also great. Prof Arthur is a mentor, a role-model to follow and one who is passionate about what he does for the Lord. Truly a man after God's heart. The volunteers in Maui were a lesson for us. A lesson in devotion and service for the Master. Larry and Val are a gift from the Lord to HI. Their service is inspirational. Cal and Terrie were like family. A great couple with passion just the same. Cherished the times we spend at the dining table. Conversations about the ministry, family brought a kindred spirit in ou

God's treasury

On 13 Jun met with a prospective sponsor who is keen on the Flowers import/export and the dairy farm projects. She has asked for a business proposal. Will be working this out. Strangely received a mail from a good friend who wants to meet my wife and I for dinner next week. God has given her some money and wants to use it for mission work. The world may be in recession but NOT God's treasury.
