Church Planters Training Program via zoom.

Image
This week we were able to conduct training for two groups of church planters. Pst Alvin took the subject of  Hermeneutics  for the church  planters  in Myanmar. This is the first time we have introduced this subject for our church planters. Rev George Khoo took sessions for the chruch planters in Nepal. He taught on "Daily  Commission  and Overcoming challengers in the  ministry". We thank God for these trainers who sacrificially prepare to train these leaders for God's kingdom

The power of words

Today I spoke on "Faith Controls the Tongue", the text being taken from James 3:1-12 .   It was a message for me rather than the congregation. I realised   how many times my own words could have hurt or discouraged others. And I must agree with James that I am not perfect in this area. No wonder King David realised  the failure in this area and he prayed:   Psalms 19:14  -  “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.”    There are four key takeaways from this passage:   1.    Words  have the  Potential  to be Destructive. 2.    Words  will  Positively  be Judged. 3.    Words  reveal the  Propensity  of the Heart 4.    Words  have the  Prospect  to bring Healing   Our words can be used to destroy, divide, deceive, devalue and devastate.   OR   Our words can be used to reassure, rebuilt, restore, revive and reconcile.   Proverbs 18:21  - The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who lo

Another church getting ready for dedication in Chhattisgarh

A new  church  building is nearing completion. It is located in a village called  Ghat Kuali in Bastar District. Its located about 40 km away from our main church in Jagadalpur. Our church planter Pst L almon Patel' is working in this village. About 45 people are attending his fellowship from this village.  Bro  Shanker from this village, donated the land and sponsored this building. His daughter in law was not able to conceive after seven years of marriage. He came to the church for prayer. After the prayer the Lord did a miracle and the daughter in law conceived and gave birth to a beautiful baby. The entire family accepted the Lord and are faithfully attending the church. As an act of gratitude Bro Shankar and his family have sponsored this  building  for the Lord's work.   Its heartening to see local people coming forward to sponsor church buildings. This is  what  I wanted to see. Praise  God for the work done by Pst Prabu Lal and all the  church  planters in Chhattisgar

Making another inroad into unreached places.

Idukki District is a densely forested, mountainous region in the south Indian state of Kerala.  Long travel on bike through forested tracts to reach the villages. Beginning of this week, PEC State Coordinator Anil and his team did a survey after much prayer and soon will be staring a new church intuit region.  Beautiful landscape and still many villages not reached with the gospel. Prayers appreciated.
