In His Time.......... with P.Ramachandran

It has been a tiring week. 5 teaching sessions a day from 9Am to 9PM. Sis Evelyn Tan from Singapore, coordinated this program, for which I am grateful. I conducted two classes of Equip Leadership program in Medan. It was conducted at AOG  Kemah Doa (Kadosh). Pst Magareth, who is the pastor of this church, kindly agreed to host the program. This church was started in Sep last year and is showing great potential for growth. Pst Margaret, myself, Pst Abraham and wife (both from Malacca) and Sis Evelyn (Spore) From 22-23 May, I did Notebook 2 for about 10 pastors who had completed the level program earlier this year. It was good to see the former students.  From 24-25 May I conducted Notebook 1 for about 54 pastors and leaders. These participants came from all over North Sumatra. These group was so active in discussions and presentations, that they took so much my time and I was not even able to finish my sessions. Nevertheless it was good to see the enthusiasm and desire t

How time flies. Can't imagine that I will be sixty next year. Received so many well wishes from friends all around the word. Glad that many remembered my birthday. Thanking God for the many who keep me in their prayers.  When I look back at the journey, that has brought me thus far, I can only say like Samuel - "Thus far the LORD has helped us."-  1 Sam 7:12 . I can also echo the words in  Lemnatalons 3:22-23  -  Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning;great is your faithfulness. I was specially moved to see the prayers and blessings from the children in Shadrach Home, Odisha. Truly no  greater  joy. My family gave a special treat for dinner. Home cooked food and my mother and sister made a surprise visit.  And of course the birthday cake. Thank you Jesus

An old saying - "The death of a lion cannot be announced by a goat" Meaning -A goat can never kill a lion and hence cannot claim to announce its death as a victor. Saul could not kill Goliath because of his goat mentality. David could, because he knew who was with him. When we know our identity in Christ, no devil is too great for us to conqueror. and overcome.  We are not goats but more than conquerors in Christ. DOn't look at yourself and see how small you re. You will never accomplish anything much. But see yourself through Christ...the sky is the limit. Phi 4:13 -  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. 1 John 4:4 -  You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. Roms  8:37 -  No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

The recent spade of events in Malaysia has changed the political landscape in the region. Who would have ever imagined that a formidable institution like BN could come crashing down. after so many years in power. But there are a number of important lessons one can re-learn from this entire episode.  Psalms 47:8 -  God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne. God is still on the throne.    Every time I meet my Malaysian friends or even take the cabs there, they are always clamouring about the state of affairs in the government. And because many felt that the rule of law will never be imposed in that nation, they left the country with deep sorrow in their hearts. But there were some who believed that God is in control of every human situation and the affairs of the state. They waited and prayed in hope and God did answer their prayers. Last night's installation of Dr M as the 7th PM was indeed a miracle. Those who wait on God are never disappointed. "

After many kick-starts, the Yishun English cell group takes off, yet once again. Cell groups are important. It's the plan where believers study the Word and grow in fellowship. It was a small beginning but remember, "Don't despise new beginning".  Looking forward to greater things.  We also celebrated Sis Jolly's birthday.  You guys out there in Yshun and who do not attend cell, show yourself up next week, Thursday.
