Bro John Prince visits Ecclessia Training Centre

On 21 Jan 2011, Bro John Prince made a visit to the Ecclessia Training Centre in Kaniyakumari, after the mission trip to AP. Pst John Signey was there to receive him. Bro Prince took a few sessions with the students on the Book of James. Bro Prince said the sessions were good and the Spirit of God moved in a special way during the sessions. He was pleased with the training and the work that is taking place in Kaniyakumari. The Shadrach Home is also taking shape and should be ready for dedication in Mar. We thank God for such people who are willing to make the sacrifice of time and money to see the kingdom of God extended in India.

Mission Trip to AP 15-22 Jan 11

Four of us from Praise Evangelical Church went on this trip. Pst John Daniel, Bro John Prince, Sis Evelyn and myself. Sis Evelyn and I departed Singapore on 15 Jan while the rest joined us during the week. Sis Evelyn and I visited Rasoolpura Church in Secunderabad on Sunday morning. About 200 people gathered for the service. I shared the word and took the passage from 2 Chronicles 20. The title for the sermon was Overcoming Impossibilities and I shared how King Jehoshaphat overcame the enemies in spite of his weak abilities. In the evening, we visited Pst Caleb's church in Maddapur village. about 2 hrs drive from Hyderabad. Pst Caleb is one of our church planters who has pioneered a church in this village. It was delightful to see the young and old worshipping the Lord. Sis Evelyn shared a word of exhortation and I shared the word. 25th Wedding Annivesary - Silver Jubilee

11-1-11 - 25th Wedding Anniversary. Today my wife and I celebrate our Silver Jubilee, 25 years of being married together. How time flies. I look out of the window, the weather reminiscent of the day we got married. It was raining the whole day and so is today. How appropriate. Praise God for His faithfulness in our lives and for the blessings He has given us. Lam 3:22-23 - Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. It has been a wonderful journey. Yes there were disagreements, quarrels, desperation and even "fights" but through it all, our love has grown stronger for the Lord , for the family, for the ministry and for one another. Thinking out loud

The New Year broke its silence as soon as it rose over the horizon. Earthquake hits Chile again on 2nd Jan. The first thoughts that raced in my mind was, " Is Jessica alright". Jonathan's sequels, "She's back on facebook," fifteen hrs later, was reassuring. Now she gone into the remote areas of Chile for ministry where communication is hardly possible. No contact for the last few days. Mission budget swells up to $12,000 a month for PEC. Never heard of, in its history. Immediate renovation work needs to be done at our training centre in Jaigon and funds are still not forthcoming. Where is it all going to come from? "Cut down your expansion until you have the funds," was the advise. Then there are other things to contend with. Kids' future, friends in deep crisis, friend who is in and out of hospital, church planters demands, unjust accusations and the list goes on. Quiet time becomes Complaint time. Promise for 2011

It was unfortunate that I had to be in my office during the last night of the year. As I watched the clock bring another year into oblivion, my heart rumbled with a tense cry for God to bless the New Year. Suddenly the Spirit of the Lord drew my attention to the prayer of Jabez. I quickly googled the scripture to 1 Chron 4: 10 - Oh that Thou would bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast (territory), and that Thine hand might be with me, and that Thou would keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me ! And God granted him that which he requested. This is going to be the promise for me this year in 2011. Four thoughts were brought to my attention. Oh that thou will bless me indeed. The longing for the presence and the unction of God. Just like Jacob pleaded for God's blessing, the point is without God all our endeavours will fail.
