Nehemiah - Part 4

The compassion of Nehemiah. Neh 1: 4 - When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. I just want to dwell on verse 4 a little longer. The Hebrew word for "sat down" gives the impression that the person is so filled with sorrow that he sat there for a very long time, long enough to make it a place of abode. Usually when someone dies in a home, the affected parties become so grieved that they remain seated in a place for a very long time. Such was the grief of Nehemiah. It was for many days. It was as though his house has been broken down, his own life was shattered. We must not forget that Nehemiah was a 3rd generation Jew born in captivity. He probably has never been to Jerusalem before. But what happened there affected him so badly as though his own house was broken down. He wept. It was as though he was mourning for someone's dead. The word implies that it was so severe that you can hear the soun

Missionaries from Orissa

Image
12 Missionaries from Orissa are undergoing a month's training at the PEC Ecclesia Training Centre at Kaniyakumari. Orissa is known for the persecution of missionaries. These are pastors who work in difficult areas and do not have any regular support. Our aim is to spiritually refresh these pastors, challenge them with the Great Commission and raise financial support for them. Pst John Signey is doing a great job in running this program. By God's grace, PEC has ventured from Anthra Pradesh, to Bhutan to Tamil Nadu and now to Orissa. God willing we plan to start a training program for pastors in Assam in the days to come. All Glory to God.

Maui - 13-20 Apr 10

It has been an amazing week in Maui. When I left from Singapore I was having a bad flu. It persisted during the first few days but God's grace was sufficient. Things improved from the second day onwards. All Glory to God. 43 participants from 21 different countries attended this session. It was indeed an honour and privilege to facilitate on the subject Biblical Mandate for Evangelism. God is good and the Spirit of God ministered to all the participants. In some sessions the men were so overwhelmed by God's spirit that they simply wept in God' s presence. Some of the participants have amazing testimonies of God's love and compassion. Some have gone through unbearable tragedies yet their love for God is unshaken. Many have been challenged with the Great commission and are just waiting to get back to their countries to win their nations for Christ. Many came for personal counselling and prayer. Praise God for touching them. On Sunday we visited Nestor's church with Ap

Another Church Planter starts new work

Another of our Church Planter, Pst Yesu Rathman, had started a new work in the village of Yanam, about 25km from Kakinada. Its a fishing village and about 30-40 people are gathering for worship. The church was inaugurated by our AP Coordinator Bishop Nehemiah together with our Kakinada Coordinator, Pst Rathna Babu. It is really a joy to see our Church planters, trained by our Great commission Training centre in Kurnool, bearing fruits. To God be the Glory

HI Maui : 12 - 23 Apr 10

Do remember me in prayer as I make another journey to Maui. The sessions are from 15-20 Apr. The subject is Biblical Mandate. As I prepare for this trip , please pray : For a special anointing upon me to bring a prophetic word to the participants. To be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit All the participants will be impacted by the Word. It will be a life changing experience for both the facilitators and participants. They will take the great commission as a personal obligation and reach the unreached in their countries with the good news. For journey mercies. Thank you for praying.
