Great Father's Day event in church

Image
We thank our heavenly Father for a wonderful service to remember all dads for their contributions to their families. A special program planned by Sis Melody and her gang. Thanks guys. The promise verse for the fathers was Joshua 1:5-9.  It was celebrated with something special. The families came ford to prayer for their fathers. It was an awesome sight. Representatives for the various age groups gave a special song tribute to the fathers. Simple yet profound. A short video clip in which all the children paid tribute to the dads in very special ways. Praise God from whom all blessings flow.   Was reminded of my own Dad this day. "A man who walked the talk. If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature....That was my Dad, Robert Periasasmy Blessed Father's Day.

Church Camp 2016

Image
The camp was truely a blessing. It was a special encounter with God, not just myself but every camper from the youngest to the oldest. What a joy to see children in sublime worship and the youths pouring their hearts out to God. God gave us the right Word for the right time through his servant Pst John Malcolm. We are indeed moving on to the next level. Its going to be exponential growth ansd the youths will be the pace setters. The old is gone and here comes the new. To God be the Glory.

Another new mile stone for PEC Missions

Image
The Christian life has to important roles; Evangelism and Discipleship. Both functions are the two sides of the same coin. For the last decade PEC missions has concentrated on evangelism. Thousands of people have heard the gospel and many added to the kingdom of God. We did have some seminars to nature church planters and their congregations but it was not sufficient. We did not have the funds and people to do it. In God's timing and by His favour, we have began the first discipleship program in Hyderabad. Many of our key leaders are gathering Hyderabad for this training program.  Its a two week program that special focus of making disciples. We are indeed privileged to have Dr Soh Guan Chin from the Joshua Missions to come and train our coordinators and key church planters. Dr Soh is a well respected Bible Teacher in Singapore who has a Phd in Systematic Theology. Amongst other credentials, Dr Soh has  overseen  different congregations and parishes in Singapore, s

PEC Camp 2016

We arrived at Katerina Hotel, Batu Pahat, Malaysia for a 5-day church camp. About 70 people have come  this year's camp. Praise God all of us arrived safely. The facilities look great and I just love my room. The theme for this year's camp is Enlarge, Stretch, Strengthen. I opened the camp with the words in Isaiah 54:2. Looking forward to an encounter with God myself. Jaya's arrives tonight with some other campers.

The highway of life

Image
My meditation this morning was on Proverbs 16:17  -  The highway of the upright avoids evil;   those who guard their ways preserve their lives. The wisest man ever lived, King Solomon, compares our lives to that of a highway. In some parts of India, some the roads take you through dangerous mountain ridges, some even through wild animal forest reserves. Such routings are done not out of pleasure or adventure but probably because there is no other alternative. The Christian life’s  highway is never straight line.  It is often fraught with many challenges, temptations, curves, mountains, valleys, dangerous ravines and pitfalls, as the Pilgrim’s Progress would recount. Me thinks it would be unreasonable, in fact illogical, to ask God to remove the potholes on the road. Life cannot be designed in any other way. But Solomon offers  this advice to those who would seek to live a godly life, in spite of all the obstacles and hindrances, AVOID Each one of us have our own journeys

Promise verse Jun 16 - Isaiah 54:10

Image
This morning I shared on Isaiah 54:10 - - Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed ,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54 is a love song from God to the people of Israel. The following thoughts arises from this verse: His compassion brings forgiveness of sin   His compassion brings peace in adversity   It's the peace that gives victory in adversity   His compassion brings strength in adversity   His compassion brings exponential growth
