Trip to Dubai, UAE

Image
Another exciting event In my history. Today I leave for Dubai to attend the HIACC 17. Exciting because this will be my fist to Dubai for a conference and stay in Dubai. Second I have been asked to be the theme speaker for the conference. Really humbled by God’s favor and grace. It only can be God. Looking forward to meeting some of the best people on earth, who are sold out for God. Also in the airport I met three brothers from India. They attended Maui last year, M1603, in which I facilitated Biblical Mandate.   Although it was a short time It was so good to see these brothers and to hear of what God has been doing. Now Dubai, here I come.

Morning prayer at 5

We had a another prayer this morning at 5AM. About 12 turned up. Not too bad. Jesus had twelve disciples and hey turned the world upside down.  I think we need to get out of the number game and thank God for those who mean business with Him.  Of course more people can come and pray but there are always excuses, some genuine and understandable but most "unpardonable". One common thread I notice is that those who are absent from prayer meetings are the loudest in their criticism. Ignore them.  Cherish your prayer warriors, they keep your church standing.

Return journey to Vizag and back home

Image
We set out 6AM on Wednesday for Vizag. We have one more objective to fulfil - The graduation of the CPs from Chhattisgarh. Also at the same time, Joshua Missions is teaching PEC CPs on the Book of Genesis at the Youth Hostel on Beach Road, Vizag. So we decided to kill two birds with one stone. It was a joy to see Pst Prabu Lall and his team from Chhattisgarh. The travelled a long journey to get there. I know how difficult it is to do the world of the Lord in Chhattisgarh. Yet these people of God are so committed to fulfil the Great Commission. It was also a joy to meet Bro James and his wife who had come there to conduct the Discipleship Program on behalf of Joshua Mission. The graduation ceremony as simple but very meaningful for the CPs. We also had the ordination for 4 senior pastors from Chhattisgarh under the auspicious of PEC India. That evening we had two hours for shopping and then hit for the airport, nice and early. We reached Spore this morning about 6:00AM

Church Dedications

Image
It was an exciting day. We had two church dedications. But as usual there are many challenges in the mission trips, and this is no exception. First an hour's drive to Muniguda to say goodbye to the boys at Shadrach Home. Then a 2 hrs drive through judge tracks to the village called Hiriba.  Beautiful mountains and greenery and so pleasant to the eyes.We had a grand welcome ceremony. Drums and dancing made up the welcoming party. Indeed we blessed to see the work of God. More than 150 people gathered for the church dedication. This church was sponsored by Sis Helen Sathya.  The building is already small for the congregation. The singing was superb. Jaya shared the Word and my heart was filled to overflowing. Its just amazing to see wha God s doing in this part of Odisha.  We left the place with a heart of thanksgiving to God.   We were told that the next church dedication called Mudguda. was only about 30 minutes away but it took us almost 1 hr and 3

Youth seminar

Image
Today we were supposed to have the youth seminar but all the people turned up for the meeting. Praise God we did not see rain on Sunday and today. We were told it had been raining the whole week before. Truly God intervened. The crowd were more responsive today and worshipped freely. They danced and worshipped the Lord and literally put the visitors to shame.  Raji spoke in the morning on the "Plans of God". Pst Dinesh took to sessions and shared on being the "Right Example and "Daring to Trust God".  Later in the afternoon, Jeya shared on the lessons from the life of Samson. She made all of them to dance to an English song and they all loved it. That night we had the final gospel meeting. I shared the Word. We felt the tangible presence of God in the meeting. Many people were healed and set free from the powers of darkness. To God be the glory.

Sunday at Odisha

Image
Praise God, Pst Raji arrived at 6:30AM. He was a joy to be with and his humour kept the team going. The first event was the dedication of the Shadrach Home. The building was not complete. It has been delayed due ti rains and insufficient workers. Bishop Nehemiah and his wife Kalawathi dedication the new building. It should be completed by the end of this year.  A little more finance is needed to complete the work. I thank God for all the sponsors and faithful contributors for this project.  Pst Raji shared in the morning service. He spoke on the love of God. Then we had a baptism service in a nearby river. 18 people got baptised that day. Praise God. After lunch we had the Pastor's meeting but all the people remained for the service. Bishop Nehemiah and Pst Dinesh shared in that meeting. They encouraged the people to be faithful to God. That evening we had the second gospel meeting. Pst Raji shared the Word and many people were delivered that

Arrival at Odisha

Image
We arrived at our hotel in Rayagada at about 3:30 AM. It was a 4 h drive from Vizag airport. Bishop Nehemiah, his wife and Pst Anjan were at the airport to receive us. This is the first time Bishop’s wife Kalvathi is joining us for a mission trip. It was good to see Pst Anjan again. Then the first surprise. Pst Raji James from Bihar was supposed to join us in the afternoon. He called at about 2:00PM to say he has arrived at Rayagada. Bishop Nehemiah immediately went to the train station to receive him. But Pst Raji was not at the station. It may sound comical but Pst Raji landed at Rayagada but in a different state, almost 400km away . We all had a good laugh. So quick change of plans. Pst Dinesh will take Pst Raji’s slot for the evening gospel meetings and Pst Raji made quick arrangements to reroute to Rayagada, Odisha. He will ariive the next day. The first program for the trip was a visit to the PEC Jeevan Jothi program in Miniguda. This is a free tuition program for the child

Trip to Odisha

Image
Its time to hit the road again on missions. Today we head out to Odisha. We travel to Vizag first, RV with Bishop Nehemiah and immediately travel by road to Rayagada, Odisha. The road travel is expected to take 4 hrs and we should checking into our hotel about 3:30 AM (6AM Spore time). What's new!!!!😁😁 Jeya, Gaddiel and myself will meet Pst Dinesh from BethanyLife at Changi Airport and the four of us will head for Vizag. Pst Dinesh has already departed KL for Changi.  We are leaving soon for the airport. Looking forward to this trip and expecting God to do amazing things. A lot of long travel on this trip and a few things to be done. Glad PEC and a number of our friends are keeping us in their prayers. Praising God for the wonderful team supporting us.

I love my church

It had been an emotional  roller-coster week. Families in crisis, individuals with problems, misunderstandings and everything else negative that constitute a community  . While these things move us to pray and seek the Lord's face, the trauma of going through all these distractions can take a toll. My counselling skills, or more correctly,  the lack of it, did not seem to work either.  Yet in all these situations, the Holy Spirit  came through. Mending broken hearts, bringing families together and people coming together to pray. Its such joy to see the joy on our people's faces. A sigh of relief.  This Sunday morning and evening messages were so apt and right to the point. I am sure some must have thought I told the speakers what to say. But He knows the hearts and He spoke. The people responded. As I prayed for some this evening,  I just could not hold me tears a s couple came forward together. I wept. Only he could do it.  When the service was over, I smi

Children's Day

Image
It was Children's Day in Singapore last Friday. Our children are so fortunate and they celebrate it in many ways, gifts, food and a good holiday foe some. But one sister (Vimala) in my church remembered the kids in Shadrach Home, Myanmar and she sponsored a special lunch for them. Apparently no one else thought about them or at least do something to cheer them up on the international Children's Day. A special treat it was and the children were indeed blessed. I am indeed reminded of the scriptures in James 1;27 - Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress  ..... May God help us,  that   in all our religious  activities , we do not forget the less fortunate. God bless you my friend.

Past v Future

Your past may be associated with failure, frustration and fear but a genuine encounter with Christ will rewrite your future into one of favour, feat and fortitude. Gen 32:28 -  Your name will no longer be Jacob," the man told him. "From now on you will be called Israel (NLT)

Why life sometimes falls apart

This morning I spoke on the above theme looking at the life of Paul. I discussed three important points in the life of Paul: Paul was fixated on his purpose -  A cts 21:1 Paul was compelled by the Great Commission, so much so that he took advantage of every opportunity Whenever the enemy tries to disrupt God’s plans, the Lord always intervenes - A cts 23:12-34. Some reasons why life falls apart: Wrong voice - Acts 27:10 -  Did not listen to Paul but the sailors Wrong ship - Acts 27:8 - Not able to sail in winter Wrong choice - Acts 27:8  -  Found v Ordained Wrong timing - Acts 27:9 - Usually the don't travel in winter Some tell-tale signs that a marriage is likely to be run-aground: No spiritual compatibility 2 Cor 6:14 Ex 20:12 No social compatibility Age ddifference (woman older than man) Income difference Family background No leadership compatibility Who is calling the shots? No common values compatibility Catch
