Fabulous trip to Egypt - A testimony to God' favour.

Image
Sitting at Cairo  airport and while waiting for my flight back home, I recounted God's faithfulness and His exceptional favour. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to speak at the Doctor's' With a Mission Conference.  About 300 christians from the medical profession gathered to seek how best they can be he "salt and light of the earth". Many in the conference rededicated their lives for "the work" God had called them. I heard of amazing testimonies of sacrifice and love  for the kingdom that made me look like a novice in serving God. It was truly a time of learning and rewiring for me as I come back to continue the work God has called us into. So glad I could meet my friends who were instrumental in inviting em for this conference. Truly humble servants with great passion despite of all their academic and professional achievements in the medical field. Specially thankful to Dr Ehab for the great hospitality while I was in the blessed land. Made m

In Alexandria, Egypt

Image
I had two wonderful days in Alexandria, arranged by my good friends here. The  visit  to the Alexandria was  impressive  and educational. I had the  privilege  of  visiting  some of the historical places which is only an indication of blessed this nation is. But nothing beats watching the sunset over the Mediterranean Sea. It was simply majestic and awesome. I send these pictures to a friend and this was the reaction. "It is an affirmation to me that my Father can make a plain blue sky into full of colour beauty....and He is also concerned to create us into images that reflect His beauty. When my sun sets...my life should also be like this"   How true those thoughts are. God is amazing and he wants us to the light to the world. We need to reflect His beauty. "Let you light so shine that they may see your good works and glorify the Father in heaven - Matthew 5:16 My prayer is that I will finish well and beautiful, just as how the sun sets in all its glory.

On the missions journey again

Image
It's been more than 2 1/2 years since I last went on a mission trip. That was in Jan 2020. I am finally checked in now for Cairo for a special journey. Terminal  1 is still recovering from Covid 19. The number of  travellers has increased but not to levels pre-Covid days.  Thankful  to the Lord that I can still continue His purposes for my life. The runway is getting  shorter  and we must do all we can "as long as its day". Wished Jeya was here with me.  But  the  air tickets  have become so exorbitant these days!! She will be with me in Aug when we  travel  to India. Looking  forward  to meeting some of my friends in Cairo. Great people with a great passion for the Lord. Praying to be a channel of blessing again.  This morning we had a guest  speaker, Rev Daniel Moses,  in  our  church. After the service Jeya and I had a short visit with him. He said many things but one thing that struck a cord in us is that God will lead us to other countries in the region to establis

Revival 72

A friend sent me a video clip about revival that took place in Singapore in 1972.  It recounted the powerful move of God amongst students then in different schools. Some of them who experienced the revival are still alive and serving God faithfully. They shared how the Holy Spirit came powerfully on people of different denominations and they all started t speak in tongues. Most of the happenings were amongst students in the respected schools, like RI, ACS ect.. I was probably in Sec 1 and probably did not hear about it then. We were in the North and communications were not as super as it is today. Nevertheless my hair stood on end as I watched and listened to the stories of now the Holy Spirit began to work in the lives of young students. I recall that it was during that time there was also a powerful move of God in PEC. I was filled with the Holy Spirit in 1971 and spoke in tongues for the first time. I quite vividly remember the prayer meetings and the Sunday services how people wou

Today's devotion - To live is the gospel.

40 Days Fasting and prayer Today's devotion is taken from: PHILIPPIANS 1:15-18 | Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will.  16  The latter do it out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel.  17  The former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely but thinking to afflict me in my imprisonment.  18  What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice. The devotion was indeed another soul searching Word for me. The writer asked us to do the following: "Today, in silence and solitude, let’s search our hearts deep within and respond earnestly in prayer: May we have the integrity and humility never to self-brand, self- promote, and compete for popularity. May we have the sanity and maturity never to attack one another, least of all before the public eye. May we have the grace and magnanimity to overlook each   other’s flaws and foibles. May we have th
