Good Friday Service

Image
It was a different Good Friday Service today. The power of the Holy Spirit was felt right from the beginning of the service till the very end. Church was almost full, although some were missing because of other commitment. I spoke on the 7 last Words of Jesus from the cross. The Word was interspersed with prayer and songs of Calvary. We had only sufficient time to meditate on four. Sounds of people sobbing were heard all over the church. It was a good service for me and so for our people. To God be the glory.

Emmanuel Church of God Singapore

Today I had the opportunity to speak at Emmanuel Church of Singapore. I spoke on "Giving God our Best" as taken from the Book of Malachi. The people were blessed and so was I. Glory God

Leaving for Home

I bid farewell to Rev Raji’s family on 15 Mar morning and prayed for Praise before leaving. I also prayed for the boys as well. The whole day was again in airports and transit lounges. Eventually I arrived Singapore on 16 th  Mar morning. Lessons from this trip Few important lessons I learnt from this trip: 1.    Ground situation in Bihar and Jharkhand is different from the other states in India. 2.     We cannot compare the work here with other states and countries. 3.    The gospel and training has to be really kept simple to reach the remote places in these two states. As observed these people need the simple gospel as taught by Jesus not the complicated messages we teach in our churches. 4.    Even though some of the students in the first batch are young and brand new Christians, there is no telling what God can do with anyone who has the passion and the power of the Holy Spirit. 5.    These church planters must have close supervision t

Visiting church planters

I t was a field day today. The plan was to visit some of the church planters from the first batch in their villages. I was warned that the trip was going to rough and the drive through difficult terrain. We departed at 4:40AM. Yes 4:40AM . Sis Renu had packed our breakfast for us to consume along the way. We drove for about 5 hrs before we reached our first stop at the outskirts of a town called Jamui. This is a very backward village. There are about 500 people living in the village. These people are from the lowest caste in India, the Mushahar. They are so low in the caste hierarchy that they only jobs given to them are to clean the toilets and they will not be allowed to enter other people’s homes. Because they are so poor, they even eat rats. It was quite heartbreaking. May our people in Singapore appreciate the good life we have here. That’s life in India. We met Amit , one of the first batch of boys. Amit had started to gather people for worship e
