Christmas service in Salem Chapel

Image
This morning I had the privilege to share the Word at Salem Chapel, Singapore. The had organised a Christmas Evangelistic Service to share the gospel with pre-believers. I shared the gospel message from Luke 2:8-15. I covered the following truths about the Proclamation made by the angels. The Recipient of the Proclamation -  Shepherds (most unworthy) The Reason for the Proclamation - Salvation (He came to die for our sins) The Result of the Proclamation -  Serenity (peace) The Ramification of the Proclamation - Souls (they told others) It was also a time to meet friends who shared the same passion for missions.  Thanking God for the opportunity.

Christmas celebration in PEC NE India

Image
The following report was submitted by Bishop Samuel Sharma, PEC Coordinator from NE India.  On 23rd December  2023, we invited all the village people along with the sewing ladies and Sunday school children at PEC campus Dalsingpara. The crowd was beyond our expectations.  More than 400 people attended and 360 were hindu and buddhist only.  ❤️ During the celebration, the hindu children and women danced and celebrated Jesus which never happened before in the history of that village.  There was also a song item presented by the ladies who attend our sewing class programs. They are still pre-beleivers. ( This is a very effect way to built rapport with the community who had been very hostile to Christianity. Because of this program, we are now welcomed into the nearby villages.) Most importantly all the people heard about the good news of the birth of our Lord and saviour.  We also distributed 50 warm blankets for the elderly people who were 70 years and above. Gifts for children are given

He saved the best for the last

I lost count of how how many trips I had made in this year. I had just completed my last overseas assignment for this year and now in  transit  in KL. My flight home is just around midnight. Penning my thoughts as I wait for my  departure to Singapore. I must say that this is one of the best trips I have done. Bishop Ezra, Senior Pastor of Elim Kiros Church in Berastagi, Medan, invited me for their Christmas program. He said this is the first time he is inviting a visiting speaker for His Christmas celebration. I was humbled. Last night they had a wonderful Christmas program. About 700 people attended the celebration. The main hall was filled to overflowing and people gathered outside and in the dining area. People from differnt parts of Medan and Beragtagi, attended the celebration. There was even a representative from the Berastagi government. The program was well coordinated and executed.  12 year old Naomi opened the celebrations with a beautiful rendition of "Your name is Hol

Christmas celebrations in Odisha.

Bishop Anjan provided the  following   update on their Christmas celebration in  Odisha.  "About  600 believers attended the programs. By the grace of God and the leadership provided by PEC Singapore, there are more than 6000 believers in PEC churches in Odisha. Not all could attend because of the distance and the cold weather. It's also harvest time and many have to work in the fields.  On 16th Dec evening, PEC youth & Sunday school children had cultural program.  Children participated in dance, special  songs , memory verse, quiz and many more exciting program. On 17th Dec morning, PEC families gathered together for Sunday service. It was a wonderful time of worship and  praise  and listening to the Word of God. And in the evening we celebrated Christmas with a lively program.  It was really a beautiful & blessed time.  PEC Odisha is indeed thankful to PEC Singapore for their leadership, vision and passion to reach the unreached in India, especially India. Shepherds' Christmas withTamil Nadu CPs

Image
It was indeed my honour to be part of the celebrations with our church planters in Tamil Nadu. I am indeed grateful to God for enlarging our territory to reach many unreached villages in many states in India. Bishop Thomas and his team are a good example of what God can do with servants who are committed and faithful to His calling. God can use anyone. The work in Tamil Nadu is a testament of God's faithfulness and the faithfulness of His servants. I am glad for this opportunity to be part of the great work God is doing. To God be the glory.

Shepherds' Christmas at Rasoolpura

Image
Today we celebrated pre-Christmas with our church planters in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. This is an annual event that we host in Rasoolpura. About 50 church planters attend this celebration. It was good to see them. Some travelled long distance to come over here.  I shared the Word. It was indeed a blessing. I am indeed thankful to the Lord for Bishop Nehemiah and his team who have been instrumental in reaching thousands of villages in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. God is indeed God.  We started our serious mission work in the then Andhra Pradesh, in 2006. For here it has grown to so many states in India and six countries. This can only be of the Lord. All glory to God.

PEC's 204th church dedication

Image
This morning after a hearty breakfast at Shadrach Home. We departed for a church dedication in Darashing, Rayagada. It took us about 1 1/2 hrs to reach the village. My American friend, Bro Dustin remakes that this in "the end of the world". It was so remote and mountainous. Sparse villages scattered in the forest. Narrow dirt tracks and mud houses in most places.  As we entered the village, every family came out of their homes to greet us with "Prasie the Lord". I asked Bishop Anjan what is happening. Bishop said that every family in this village has accepted the Lord. You can imagine my joy. Every family. The church planter here Pst Sukru, is a young man of 23 years old. After his training in our church planters' training centre, he settled here to share the gospel. First his family came to Christ and slowly one after another turned to the Lord. This is indeed amazing. We dedicated PEC's 204th church building. About 150 people came for the church dedication

Short trip to Odisha

Image
It was a short "educational trip" for two of my friends from the US to see the work God is doing in this part of the world. Just two days before our departure there was a cyclone that hit Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Many places were flooded and some lives were lost. Vizag airport was closed the day before and it was raining in Odisha. Thank God the airport opened the day of our departure. The weather was gloomy, with light rains We arrived well on time last night  about 7:30PM in Vizag. There was no problems with the immigrations and customs. Our driver was waiting for us and it was along 5.5 hrs drive to Bissamcuttack, Rayagada in Odisha. We arrived at our motel this morning at 2.30AM. Couldn't sleep along the way as one of my visitors was snoring so loud as though a training was passing by. 🤣 Slept  for three hours.  We were up for breakfast at Bishop Anjan's place at about 7:30AM. The weather was so pleasant. Thank you Jesus.  It was a joy to meet Bishop's
