Prayer for this sweet girl.

Image
While  climbing up the mountain to go the church in Rangpo, I met this girl who was  washing  her clothes. On a  closer  look, I  realised  that she is Mega Pradan, 18  yearly  old and suffering from stage 4 liver cancer. We have been praying for her since we knew about her condition. My heart was broken to see her. Her stomach was  bloated  and she is undergoing chemo  therapy. Doctors say, she does not have much time. This was how she looked like before she was diagnosed with cancer. She came for the church dedication. She had a  pleasant  smile on her face. There was no fear or worry and she went about as normal. We prayed for her,  trusting  God to  performa miracle . Would you do the same for her?

On the way to Villipuram

We departed Chennai airport a about 11PM. We were in two  vehicles .  About 4 hrs drive before we reach our destination. Along the way we decided to stop for a hot cup of Chai by the road side. The place did not look appealing but we decided to take the risk.  There were mosquitoes, but we enjoyed the cuppa. Jeya as usual did not dare take risk.  🤣 🤣 We continued our journey. We reached the training centre at about 4AM and Sis Kala, Bishop Thomas's wife was waiting for us and wanted to serve us coffee. We declined as we just wanted to find a bed to rest. The "motel" with no stars, was about 10 km away. The bed was as hard as a rock and the toilet 🤦🏽‍♂️ . No one complained. After cleaning the toilets, we  slept  at about 5AM and got up at 7AM. Could not sleep any more. Guess what there was no  restaurant   nearby  too. 😰

Today I had the privilege of speaking to about 30 young participants in Nigeria via zoom.  These young people are attending the Haggai Leadership Training. Bro KC who attended my sessions in Port Dickson in Jun this year, invited me to facilitate this subject.   I thank God for the opportunity and for opening doors to share His goodness and to challenge people on ending gospel poverty. To God be the glory.

Another update from Odisha

Image
Dear sir,                                                                                                     Yesterday we visited the site for the new church building. We prayed for the ground where the church building will be built.    After this we visited a small village where few people live on the top of the mountain.  Unfortunately, the village head didn't allow us to enter the village. Because their people said if Christians enter their village, then their mountain god will get angry & there will never be a good harvest anymore. We returned without meeting them, but we prayed on the mountain for the poor villagers.      If God willing, sure we will visit them again by any cost.                                       This time some senior pastors were with me.                                                       Thank you, sir, for always keeping us in your prayer.     Bishop Anjan PEC Coordinator NE India ============ Reading such texts breaks my heart. PEC's 199th church dedication

Image
Yesterday, was the dedication of PEC's 199th church in Jandiala Garu village in Punjab. This is PEC's first church in this state. Bishop Nehemiah Rao dedicated the church in the presence of more than 100 church believers. I was told that the joy of these believers was simply overwhelming.  Pst Mangal Singh has been working under PEC for the last three years. His daughter Hanah, 14 years old, was the translator for Bishop Nehemiah. Pst Mangal very dedicated man of God, humble and sincere. This is the 13th state that PEC has established a church planting movement. There is a great potential for church planting in this state and God wiling we will e working with a sister agency to establish this work.  Special thanks to Bishop Nehemiah for taking the time to go to Punjab to dedicate this new church. God willing later this moth will be dedicating out 200th church building in Sikkim.  As I look back, it has been a journey riddled with joys, fears and tears but above all we saw the

Monthly meeting with church planters

Image
Today I had the previledge of meeting and sharing the Word with our PEC church planters in Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.  Because  of heavy rains not all were able to come for this meeting. It was a joy to  share  the Word with them. I spoke about "The man whom God disapproves" . I took the example of Saul and  compared with David. There was much to learn from these two kings in the Bible.  Praise  God for the wonderful work done by the  church  planters in remote places.  Special thanks to Bishop Nehemiah for the great work under his  leadership.  That every village will hear the gospel of Jesus Christ

Church Planters Meeting in Chhattisgarh

Image
Bishop Anjan visited the church planters in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh today, together with Pst Pinto and Pst Daitary. This is the second such meeting since Bishop Anjan took over the leadership in this state. Its so hard to find reliable and trustworthy men of God these days and we thank God for Bishop Anjan and his team. 11 church planters attended the meeting. Three of them had other important assignments and hence could not attend the meeting.  Bishop reported that the meeting was good and the church planters are happy to be working under the PEC banner. Much prayer is need for this state as we expand the ministry here. God willing we will be dedicating one church in Nov and another in Dec. To God be the glory.

Darkest valley - Protection and Comfort

Image
Psalms 23:4 - Even when I walk   through the darkest valley,  I will not be afraid,  for you are close beside me.  Your rod and your staff  protect and comfort me. (NLT) Psalms 23 has often been cited as the 'peal of the psalms". Some call it the "shepherd's psalm". But whatever the  description , this psalm alone is  sufficient  for any pilgrim who is terribly weary or in the most distressful  situation . I am truly amazed at the grander and the astuteness of this psalm and this can only be written by one who has had a personal experience with the shepherd of this psalm. Of course it must have been inspired by the influence of the Holy Spirit. The tenor of the psalm will still any distressful mind and calm even the stormiest seas.   But one can  only claim and own the promises of this peculiar psalm, when one knows the shepherd as "My shepherd". Without this personal relationship, the psalm is just mere poetry or a good read.  Do you know Him as your S

Another preaching assignment

This morning I had the opportunity to speak at Singapore Charismatic Church in Geylang. I have been to this church a couple of times. It's a Chinese congregation and the message was translated to Mandarin.  God has been opening many doors, theses days. Praise God. When man closes a door, God opens many more. Thank you Jesus
