Arrival at Kolkata and to Nepal

Image
Flight was delayed in Spore for an hour. We  arrived Kolkata on 28 Sep at 11:30 pm. We stayed overnight at a nearby hotel.  Breakfast a Babul Hotel in Kolkata The next morning we scheduled to depart for Bagdogra. But the flight was delayed for more than six hours due to “technical problems”. The wait was exasperating as the authorities were not giving us an assurance if the flight indeed will take off. Thank God eventually the flight took off. We reached Bagdogra at about 7PM, way past our  scheduled time.   Bishop Samuel Sharma and his son Abishek have been waiting  since 12 noon.  So we had three older ones and three youths in the team now.   But  we  had to rush to the Nepal border as the  border gates closed at 8:00PM. We arrived at Nepal Border in good time but to our  surprise,  we learnt that the Immigration Office closed at 6:30pm and will only open the next day at 6:30 AM.  That would mean that our entire program will be disrupted. We were in a state of hesitation

In Jaigaon, we will also be celebrating 10 years of PEC ministry in NE India. We thank God for giving us the opportunity to serve Him. We give Hil all the glory and prasie.

People with a different Spirit

This morning I was reading and meditating on Caleb. At 85 years old, he asked for a mountain.  Numbers 14: 24  - But because my servant Caleb has  a different  spirited  follows me wholeheartedly, I will bring him into the land he went to, and his descendants will inherit it.  A person with a different spirit: 1.      Is strong in  difficult  times 2.    Is w illing to take  risks 3.     Has a great visions 4.     Is outstanding in all their tasks (Daniel). Can't find any  fault  with him. 5.     Will accomplish great and mighty thngs for God 6.    Will  not just talk but take action, even against all opposition. 7.    D ares to trust God in a crisis. 8.     Will not give up, unless God tell to do so. 9.     Even in difficult times  will fear and obey only God. 10. Looks at things from God's  perspective not theirs.

Migrant Appreciation Nite

Image
Last Sunday we had a social event for the the Migrant Workers in Westlite Dormitory", Woodlands, Singapore. Last month Singapore celebrated our National Day n the 9th of Aug in a very grand way. God has blessed our nation with peace, prosperity and growth. And we also realize that the migrant workers have contributed to our success as a nation. They work in industries that most Singaporeans do not want to engage, eg the ship repair industry, the building segment, road repairs and clearing the garbage of our entire country. Opening address Many times these workers are not appreciated. They work long hours, rain or shine. They leave their families back and some only visit them once in a few years. So I thought it will be good to let these workers know that as we celebrate our National day, we are appreciative of their contributions to Singapore's growth.  Hence as a church we organized this event in a big way. We had a politician. My Patrick Tay, Member for

Heading Home

Finally checked in at Maui Airport. Thank God this time the luggage has been checked in all the way to Singapore. Was glad that most of the participants have been impacted over the last week. Monday was exceptional. The Spirit of the Lord moved so powerfully in both the sessions. Men were on their knees and weeping before the Lord. It was a joy to see young men so passionate for the Lord and expecting great things from Him. I had the opportunity to speak to the volunteers yesterday. Many of them had held  senior posts before and now serve the leaders form the 3rd world/developing  countries. Shared with them how HI has blessed my life and ministry. Many were blessed. I also had dinner with Nestor last night. This man has been such a blessing. He has a great heart for God and the ministry. He is still pushing me with the book and is getting me connected to the right people for publishing. It was a privilege to have Prof Arthur drive me to the airport. He has been such a b

The weekend is around the corner. Finished three sessions with the participants. There are 59 participants from 29 countries. A much younger group but men with great potential. It's so exciting to see how young people are on fire for God. Can see many of them hungry for God. Praying that God will do something great with all these men. It was Good to meet my good friends, Prof Arthur, Bro Sreethar and Nestor. It always a joy to meet these wonderful men of God. I am always lifted up just being with them.  Guess who else I met in Maui. Our good friend Watson. Watson is serving as a missionary in Malawi and he is here as a faculty. Another great soldier for the kingdom. SO good to see him and hear of the great things God is doing through him and his family in Malawi. Exciting times. Thank you Jesus.

Arrived Narita, Japan

The flight in Singapore was delayed almost an hour due to heavy rain. We arrived Narita 45 minutes late. The problem was Singapore Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines do not have an agreement. So I had to clear immigrations, custom, pick up my language and go to the arrival lounge. To my surprise the departure hall for Hawaiian Airlines was in another terminal and had to take a shuttle bus. The whole process from landing to getting to the other terminal took about an hour. Thank God the immigration lanes were empty. Fortunately, Hawaiian airlines was delayed for an hour due to the typhoon affecting Japan. So now I am settled in the transit lounge and charging my laptop and phone and checking the mails.  Thanking God for seeing me though this journey, Yes indeed, "all things work together for good - Rom 8:28

Traveling to Maui

Waiting at the departure lounge for a long flight to Maui, Hawaii. I will be reaching Maui in 24 hrs time, God willing. It's raining heavily here at the airport and the flight is delayed. Feeling tired but hope to get refreshed along the way.  Praising God for another opportunity to impact the nations.

Defining moments

During the morning service I spoke on the above subject and my text was taken from Acts 9:1-6 . Everyone used by God had a defining moment in their lives which propelled them to do extraordinary things for the Glory of God with the help of the Holy Spirit. Apostle Pauls's defining moment happened while he was on the way to Damascus. Four things happen when one has had a defining moment with God: A paradigm shift A shift in purpose A shift in priorities A shift is life's perspective  We had a number of new faces in church this morning. Praise God. In the evening I touched on Psalms 30:11 . I was supposed to speak on the same subject but was prompted by the Holy Spirit to change. God will turn your mourning into joy. There was such an anointing in the services today. To God be the Glory.
