This week many of the PEC church planters and some of their member joined together for a two day meetings in Modiguda sir , Chandrapur block , dist Rayagada, Odisha . It was a time a rejoicing and celebration. we used to have this every year but was cancelled for the last two years  because  of Covid.  About  700 people attended these meetings. What was so special is that this year we had some people from the Utesi  village attending these meetings. These young men have given their lives to our Lord. What a joy. The work in the remote village in the mountains is bearing fruits. To God be the glory

A hectic week

Image
This week we had three zoom church planters training programs going on at the same time. CP training was being conducted with Nepal, Tamil Nadu and NE India. My study was like a mini "ops room" coordinating all the sessions.     Rev Albert Pang and Bro Kumar taught the Tamil Nadu Church Planters on Rulership in Life and Evangelism respectively.     In NE India, Rev James and Bro Joel taught on Basic doctrines and on the Book of 1st Timothy respectively. And in Nepal, Jeya and I did on Family. It was hectic but we enjoyed the sessions.      Not forgetting my night shift work.  ðŸ’ªðŸ’ª Thankful to the Lord for all the faculty who taught freely unto the Lord.

Another opportunity to serve the migrant workers

We had another distribution of fruits and rations today at the Westlite dormitory. About 600 workers came and benefitted from this distribution.  We thank God for the sponsors and for the team who helped to pack and distribute. We are making good relations with the workers and praying for a breakthrough. Tiring  day but  to  was all worth the while

1st batch graduation in Nepal

Image
It was another historic day, today. 1st batch of church planters from Nepal graduated from our church planters training program in Bungmati, Nepal. Most of them come from remote regions, untouched by the gospel. After much prayer, discussion and hard work by our team, we finally see the result. My heart was overwhelmed. Praising God for the opportunity and to be part of His work and to be able to partner with like minded people in the kingdom. It was not easy though for the participants. They had to withstand very cold weather, no heater or hot water but yet their hearts were warm with passion to study the Word of God. I have seen them through the weeks and how they have learned and matured over the last four months. We thank God for His goodness and faithfulness. Grateful to Dr Michael Ong (Peace CHild Ministry) for his commitment and partnership, Pst Amrit Pahari (course overseer), all the teachers and translators. Not forgetting our sponsors. Specially grateful to Rev James and

Update on Sagdi Village, Odisha

Image
It was  sheer  joy to receive this report today from our coordinator in Odisha "SAGDI Village : Children are learning to write Priya alphabets. Brother Sunil & wife Sukumari are working very hard on the mountain for our Lord's sake.  Doing any type of ministry among the Dongriakond is not only hard but  almost  impossible. This is because their lifestyles are completely different from ours. Yet we thank God for all our brothers who are labouring among them to spread the gospel & reach the unreached villages .                                                                        Thanks to all in PEC and specially the sponsor and also for your prayers, support, love and care. Bishop Anjan" Messages  like this make my day.  Said  is the 3rd village in this  mountain  that we are reaching with many ways to share the Lord of our Lord. Thanking God for the opportunity to play a small role in His harvest field. To God be the glory

Preaching at His Arrow Church

Image
I had another opportunity to share the Word at His Arrow's Church this morning. Specially grateful to the Lord and Pst Aow for the invitation. The topic that was given to me was "Jesus cleans the temple" and the text taken from John 2:13-22 . As I was preparing this passage, one of the things that struck me was the passion the Lord had for affairs of God. John 2:17 -  “Passion for God’s house will consume me.” It was a consuming passion, one that confronted hypocritical worship. It was a bold passion willing to stand alone against the  thousands that came for the passover. It was a  sacrificial  passion, one that drove  Him  to the cross,  making  Himself as the sacrificial lamb. It was the same passion that drew you  and  me to His bleeding side. Oh that my heart will burn with  such  passion for my Master. If we had this kind of passion, we would have changed the world in no time.

Blessed to be a Blessing

Image
Blessing the needy in Myanmar God's very nature is to bless people,  especially  those who love  Him with all their heart. Since we are partakers of His divine nature, then it behoves us to do the same. The cultural mandate, God's governing instrument for His Kingdom on earth, enforces this virtue. Genesis 1:28 -  God blessed them and said to them,  “Be fruitful and increase in number;  fill the earth  and subdue it... . The blessings on the  patriarchs and on the nation of Israel, underscored this purpose for humanity. "In you will all the nations of the earth be blessed...." Our Lord Jesus reenforced this imperative in the sermon of the mount when He described His followers as the salt and the light of the earth. Matthew 5:16 - "L et your light shine before others,  that they may see your good deeds  and glorify  your Father in heaven." This is what we have been doing in our mission field. The  tuition  centres,  assistance  in the time of calamity and pe

1st Baptism in Kerala

Image
Yesterday we had the 1st baptism conducted in Kerala by our PEC church planters. It's really a joy to see Pst Anil taking charge of the work and we know God will bring the increase. Blessed to have Pst  Bino in our team. He takes care of the city church in Kaduthuthy, Kottayam. Looking forward to a greater harvest this year.

Lessons from Mark 5 - New Norms

Mark Chapter 5 opens with Jesus performing a miracle on the South Eastern shores of the sea of Galilee. This was gentile territory. He heals a demon possessed man. Then He and His disciples cross the sea and now minister on the western shores of Galilee. This is Jewish territory. J esus broke the first social norm. He made no distinction between a Jew and gentile, which was the main form of distinction in those days, especially amongst the Jews who considered the gentiles “dogs”. Even today, social differentiation exists in terms of race, caste, color or creed. But its assuring to know in the eyes of God we all stand as equals. We all sinners condemned to hell and need the grace of God for redemption. On this side of Galilee, we are told Jesus performs two miracles. He heals the woman with hemorrhaging problem and He raises a dead girl. Noticed Jesus touched both of them which would have made in unclean under the laws of Moses.  Jesus breaks the 2 nd  social norm. He touches the clean
