Great Commission---Souls----He's coming soon

Mathew 25: 14-28 26-27 - “His master replied, "You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed?   Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest. Some things are glaring from this passage: 1. This servant also had some asset.    This servant, like the other two servants, also had some gift, though less than them. Nevertheless he had something in his possession which could have been invested and brought returns for his master. Likewise each of us has some kind of gifting. 1 Peter 4:10 -  Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 2. The master demands investment .   Verse 19 - " After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them." I am convinced that we will have to give an

Will you be found so doing? - Luke 12:42-43

Luke 12:42 - 43   -  And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?  Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. The Bible teaches us that all Christians are stewards in the kingdom of God . The parable in Mathew 25: 14-30, is a case in point. No one can say I have no part to play in God's kingdom.   The office of stewardship is not the issue but the outcome of that stewardship is.  Our Lord singles out two qualities of a steward in the passage in Luke.   Faithfulness and Wisdom .  Numbers 12:7   - God said of Moses that he was faithful in all his house. He was faithful to God and faithful to the commission that was given to him. He was not just faithful in some things but in   ALL   his house. God has made us stewards in our home, church, work environment and other ministries. May we be found faithful in all the areas

Praise Evangelical Church - Golden Jubilee

Chairman's message Today we celebrate fifty years of God’s faithfulness to Praise Evangelical Church. I am reminded of what King David said in Psalms 117:2 - “For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.” As I look back over the years, I can truly testify that God’s love towards Praise Evangelical Church has indeed been great. “It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed.” Today’s celebration brings three precious groups of people to my mind. Firstly, the missionaries who paid the price. I am reminded of Sis Rasi, Sis Kolka and the rest who dedicated their lives to fulfill the Great Commission in this part of the world. Like Moses, they too “chose to be mistreated along with the people of God”, “regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt” and “persevered because they saw Him who is invisible.” (Heb 11:25-27). They served with a driving passion to fulfill the vision God had gi

HI National Seminar organised by PJU/Klang Alumni

I was invited to facilitate Biblical Mandate from 9-11 Aug in Klang Malaysia. Altogether there 51 participants from Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia, Myannar and Pakistan. It was great meeting fellow faculty and organizers of the seminar. Praise God for people with great passion to serve him amidst their hectic schedules. They were such an inspiration. The sessions wen well by God's grace. Many participants shared how they had been impacted by the sessions in the seminar and how they have been challenged to make evangelism the number one priority in their lives. It was also a learning experience for me. I was blessed and challenged to press on serving our Lord. I also thank God for the many saints who prayed for me. .  ALL GLORY TO GOD

Report on Darjeeling Trip

Image
Our NE Coordinator Rev Samuel visited the church planters in Darjeeling on 1 & 2 Aug. He said that the journey was hard and strikes in many places. He managed to visit Pst Arun in a place   called Lebong, Badamtam in Darjeeling. They don't have a church building and they worship in the extention of his house.  He also met another church planter Sunil and had fellowship with the believers. Three people were baptized in that place. Praise God.   He also went to visit church planter Sovit in Bijanbari in Darjeeling . 12 new people were baptized in that church. We praise God for all that He is doing in the mission field.

Life's Conundrum

There will always be people who discourage you, don't confront them, it part of growing up; The mockers and nay-sayers will straddle by, smile, they eventually help you to be resilient Many will agree with you on the surface but will not lend a hand, doesn't matter, keep encouraging them; Some will say they are praying for you, good but not good enough, but yes you need them; Few will pray and contribute to your efforts, treasure them; Only a minority will soil their hands with you, cherish them. They are your God-send angels.

Be on the Guard

"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy" (Jn 10:10).  Nowadays he comes with stealth technology to distract, discourage and divide, still achieving his original objectives.  "We are not ignorant of his devices" (2Cor 2:1)
