Image
On 24 Jun the 2nd batch of students started their training at the centre. Its purely by God's grace and providence alone that we are able to start the next batch. 10 new students have come forward to be train as church planters. They will undergo training for the next 9 months. Bishop Nehemiah, our State Coordinator from AP, officiated the opening session by sharing the Word and praying for all the new students. We thank God for the unity we have with men of God who want to see the kingdom of God extended to all over India. God is good. Please continue to pray for the training centre and the students. Your prayers and financial support is much appreciated. On the left Is Pst John Signey and on the right is Bishop Nehemiah .

Shadrach Home - Casting the vision

Image
Towards the end of last year a dear friend of mine, Doreen Lim, shared with me a passion that was developing in her heart. Doreen is a lawyer with Harry Elias and Partners. The desire is to raise a generation of God fearing children who will be totally sold out to God, just like the Hebrew children in the Book of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. These men stood for the Lord in spite of all the fierce persecution. To this end we started to pray and the Lord put in our hearts the vision of raising an orphanage. We plan to take in 20 orphans and raise them under strict Godly environment. They will be under the tutelage of a God fearing couple and overseen by the principal of the Bible School. They will not go to any secular school but will be home schooled with emphasis on the scriptures. These will be our future missionaries especially to Europe or to the place the Lord will lead them. In Jan this year I shared this vision with Pst John Signey when I visited him in Kanyakumari. He

Church Planting Starts in Tamil Nadu

Image
It was with great joy that I received the news that our church planting work in Tamil Nadu is bearing fruits. Work has already started in Kumbakonam field. This is about eight hours bus ride from Chennai. God has taken our CP brother Malar to a right place. He faced many hardships in the beginning but by God's grace he has started work in two villages: Pambai Padaiyur . It is a village full of Hindus, not even a single Christian. Very good response to the gospel. It is backward village. Nearly 25 people come for the prayer meeting. Nathan Koil . This is a hard village. People were not very responsive initially but now God is touching few individuals. He started a prayer cell and 15 people come for prayer. Together with Pst John Signey, a series of gospel meetings are planned. Please do pray for a harvest of souls. All glory to God

Devotion : Mark 4:35-40

This morning I shared from the above passage. A summary of the sharing is as follows: At a glance, a suitable title for the passage would be: Jesus calms the storm Storms of life With Christ in the vessel... Yes all that is true but if we carefully examine the verses, we will see a totally different perspective. 4:35 - Let us go over to the other side. 5:1-2 - They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes. When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an evil spirit came from the tombs to meet him. This changes the whole emphasis.. From the storm the focus is now turned to the demon possessed man. From teaching the multitudes, the scene now focuses on reaching one man who was demon possessed. I am suggesting that if we have only seen the passage as Jesus calming the sea and the waves, we have missed the point. The big picture is really the Missionary heart of God. The missionary heart of God appears again in the fine print. Our God is a missionary God. The Bible is a missiona
