Social work - Touching the community

On 25th May afternoon, we had the graduation program for the ladies from the sewing class. This is a social community program and is sponsored by Rev James and his wife Merilyn. The purpose is to reach out to the community in Darlsingpara, where our training centre is located. 13 ladies graduated from the program. All of them are from Hindu background and the ceremony was attended by their family and friends. I had the privilege of sharing the gospel with them that afternoon and I am sure the Lord is working in their lives.

The ladies were thankful for the program and the event was covered by the news media which was broadcasted that evening on local state media. Through this means we are being the salt and light to the world and are also sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. This skill will help the ladies to bring some income to their families.  But most importantly it brings them to hear the gospel.

Already 16 new students have signed up for the next batch which will start in Jun. The local authorities are happy with this venture and the certificates issued by us are recognised by the local authorities.

Return to Singapore

On 25 May, I left Jalgaon for my trip to Singapore. I rendezvoused with Dr Ong in Hyderabad and we touched down Changi Airport on 26 May morning at 8:10 AM.
