Visit to the Shadrach Home, Myanmar
After our morning devotion and breakfast on 22 Apr, we departed Naung Hkio for Tanyan at about 8:30AM This time the journey was through dangerous mountains roads, with sharp and narrow bends. Some of the ladies in the team could not take the swirling roller-coaster ride and we had to stop on the way to help them recover (vomiting). But the scenery was picturesque and glorious. By noon the team was suffering from tiredness and fatigue because of the long travel.
We stopped at a village stall for lunch but after seeing the number flies and the condition in the shop, non dared take the risk, except for Pst Phongshar and Phongram. So it was biscuits and water.

We finally arrived Tanyan at about 3PM. After checking into the hotel we went straight to the Shadrach Home. The moment the team arrived at the Home, all their tiredness and lethargy vanished after seeing the beautiful smiles and the welcome given by the lovely children.
It was a joy to meet Sis Khaw Shin and Sis Martha again at the Home. Wonderful people with great commitment. Joy to see the kids as well.
The children sang a few songs and they just blew us away with their beautiful singing. Our team played some games, had a skit and did some craft work with the children.
The kids were so adorable. They sang like a choir and worshipped from their hearts. Some of my team members were so overwhelmed by what they saw. These kids, many of them from the Wa Region would not have had a future, if not for God, this Shadrach Home and PEC.
Specially thanks to Helen Sathyia for raising most of the funds for this Home and for getting sponsors to give gifts to theses children. This young lady has a heart of gold. She has such great passion for children and for the Lord. Blessed to have such people in PEC.

The next day we had a service at the Home. About 15 adults joined the kids for the service. Again the singing of the kids moved our hearts. Helen shared her testimony and Bro Ho shared the Word. I closed the service with a Word of exhortation and prayer. After a great lunch we set out for Mandalay. This journey seemed light as the team was reminiscing the experience at the Shadrach Home. The way the kids sang, prayed and interacted with us, moved many and one even said she did not feel like leaving. These kids have a great future in the Lord. We have a responsibility to see that their purpose is fulfilled.
We reached Mandalay at about 8:30PM. Tired but fully overjoyed.
