Visiting a church planter

24 Apr. Today we drove about 3 hrs in the morning to visit our church planter in Kwing Thong Se, in Mandalay Division. I visited this village in Nov last year  with Bro George ans Bro Patrick. Bro George from Singapore had donated some money for this church to put up a building.
We were greeted by a Pst Saw Swee and a small congregation. It was a working day and many members could not get leave to be there. Nevertheless we had a short service. Bro Uthi shared the Word and we prayed for them.
Pst Saw Swee explanation that they were facing some opposition in the village. When they put up a sing board for the church, the local authorities and some monks came forcefully and demanded that the board be removed. But he believes that God will open a way for the building to be built. Currently a temporary shed serves as a church building. We prayed for Pst Saw Swee and his wife and believed that we will see a church building soon.

After the visit we drove all the way back to Yangon, stopping at Mandalay for a late lunch.  The journey was long and some of the ladies were suffering from nausea and vomiting. After six hours into the journey, we were on two mind, weather to stop overnight in a nearby town for the night or continue. We had a another 6 hours to cover. Staying overnight would mean that we cancel our visit to another children's home. The ladies insisted that we press on. It was a good decision. And so we did, reaching our hotel at 2AM, after being on the roads for about 12 hrs.
