Update on the work at Utesi village and surrounding villages in Rayagada District, Odisha, India

Bishop Anjan and his team visited the village today. By the grace of God, the work is progressing well in the mountains. Church Planter (CP) Sanada, his wife Rita are really doing a great work. We are seeing a change in the lives of the children, in terms of hygiene and cleanliness.

Tuition program is going on daily and everyday prayer meetings are being at CP Sanada’s home. Sunday services have also started in this village. The villagers are very thankful and please continue to pray that we will see the first convers to Christ.

Utesi children before

A local PEC church in Odisha sponsored some clothes. They could only afford to buy for some girls. This is how they look now. They are taking regular showers and brushing their teeth. We are providing them with daily breakfast as well.

The Lord has opened another village for us to move in. The name of this new village is Jangjodi, which is about 13 Km from Utesi, further up the mountains.

There are more than 40 children above 4 years old in this village. The village head is allowing us to come to his village and start a tuition center for the children. It is very rare that these villagers allow outsiders to come and stay in their village. We believe its only because of God’s favor. God willing, we are planning to send another couple to this village.

If you feel led to sponsor this new work in Jangjodi, please contact me. God bless you and appreciate all your prayers.
