2nd day in Assam - 13 Apr

Our first stop was at PEC Rimona Church, Bodoland. It was good to be back and was blessed to see the growth of the work. PEC runs a tuition program for the children in this church and though this means, we are trying to reach the village. Pst Gopal told us that through this program many parents are coming to the Lord.
First we had a children’s program. More than 100 children gathered for the event. The children presented some dances and a song item. Jeya shared a story with the kids.

An evangelist meeting for the parents of the kids followed this. About 60 people, many Hindus were present. Bro George shared the Word and when the call to receive Christ was given, many raised their hands. To God be the glory.

Special thanks to Bro George who sponsored a wonderful lunch for the children and to Bro Albert and Sis Josephine, Pst Dinesh and Sis Premilla, for the stationary gifts distributed to the children.  We thank God for all these sponsors.
In the afternoon we visited Pst Soban’s church in Noisapur. It was good to see this pastor. Although this pastor lost his wife last year in Sep, he is still serving the Lord with joy and passion. Our hearts were moved when we saw his two little girls. There are many things in life we simply don’t have answers. But we trust the Lord, knowing all things work for good.

We ran the children’s program and the adult service simultaneously Pst Dinesh shared a gospel message with the congregation. About 60 adults were present.  Some lifted their hands to receive Christ and we prayed for many who had needs. It was heart lifting to see how these simple people respond to the message of hope and love.

Bro Stephen and Sis Jeya taught the children some songs and told them a story. Here too we distributed gifts to the children, sponsored by Bro Albert and Sis Josephine, Pst Dinesh and Sis Premilla.

We then departed for Jaigaon and had dinner in Pst Samuel’s home.
