Winning battle formula

2 Chronicles 20:1-18

One of the metaphors that the Bible uses over and over again for the Christian life is that of a battle. The Bible says:

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Eph. 6:11-12 (NASB)

This of course is talking about battles that we fight daily – they may be: financial battles, spiritual battles, relationship battles – all kinds of battles in our daily lives. In the 2 Chronicles 20, we read how King Jehoshaphat faced a battle and how he defeated the enemy. With God on our side, the battle is already won.

They key is who do you turn to when faced with a battle. Jehoshaphat turned to God and the battle was won. When we do the same, no battle is too big for God's children.
