Mission trip to Myanmar -15-20 August 16 (Part 2)

On 18 Aug we travelled almost twelve hours on the road to visit another church planter Pst Saw Shew in Kwin Dong Se in Mandalay Division. We had to drive down to Mandalay before tracking another 3 hrs to the village. Along this road we had two close shaves with oncoming vehicles and it was purely the grace of God that kept us safe. By the time we reach Pst Saw’s home, it was 8 pm. About 15 people still waited for us. Some had already left as it was dark and the place was so remote. In fact our vehicle could not go up the hill and we had the help of the villagers to push us up.

There are about 9 families attending the Sunday service in two villages and they are in need of a place of worship. The work is good and people are responding to the gospel.

That night we drove back to Mandalay and reached the hotel close to midnight. Dead tired but fully satisfied to see the work of God.

Then it as back to Yangon, On Friday it was a long trip back to Yangon. Nothing eventful along the way and we reached MTC about 4:30 PM. At 6pm I shared the word to the entire faculty and student body at MTC. It was also good to meet Albert and to hear his side of the story. He was happy with the students and the sessions went very well. MTC took care of him, especially Dr Yeram

Indeed we had a good trip. We praise God for Rev John Phongsah for his vision and commitment. His hands are full. He pastors a church, runs the Bible School and also overseas our church planters.  Praise God for the team of workers supporting him in the ministry. He needs a lot of prayer support.  We were blessed to see what God is doing in Myanmar through PEC and her sponsors.  A big thank you to every one who had contributed and prayed for us and the work in Myanmar.
