PRAISE EVANGELICALCHURCH, Singapore….The mission minded church!

In 2011, we have the following evangelistic objectives through the local Indian and Bhutanese Christians:

  • Increase the number of rural area evangelism teams in Andhra Pradesh to 23. (each team is to reach 10 villages per month with the gospel)
  • Continue to run the three training centres plus start a fourth one.
  • Support 30 additional church planters/pastors, making the total number more than 120.
  • Finalize construction of an orphanage that will provide a home and a Christian education to at least 20 orphans who will become future missionaries.
  • Continue to support the Bangladesh project.
  • Open new frontiers in Pakistan and Madhya Pradesh.
  • Develop a training centre that can also house students during training sessions.

How can you help?

  • $45 per month supports one church planter or a pastor.
  • $50 per month supports one child in the orphanage.
  • $100 per month supports one rural area evangelism team (two persons.)
  • $500 will assist in providing meals and supplies for the slum day care program.
  • $750 will purchase a film projector used to show the Jesus Film (we need 5 more.)
  • $850 will aid in operating one church planter training centre.
  • $1,000 will drill fresh water well in a village as a Christian witness/humanitarian aid.
  • However, any amount that you give will be a great blessing to our work.

Rest assured that all funds donated will be used 100% in the mission field. None of the money you give will be used for our personal travel or any other administrative costs.

I sincerely request your help in reaching the millions who will otherwise be lost without knowing the Saviour! You will be provided with regular updates about our work so that you may share in glorifying the Lord as He is using you to advance the Gospel!

I have no doubt that the Lord will richly honour you for your obedience to His Great Commission, as you do your part in winning souls for Jesus Christ.

What a trip to Nepal

I am sitting at the airport restaurant in Kathmandu, checked in and waiting for my departure to New Delhi and from there, onward to Singapore.  Just sipping and enjoying the Americano coffee and a slice of cheese cake as I reminiscent my last nine days in Nepal. It has been a incredibly tough trip but one filled with joy, great satisfaction and challenges. Tough because of the bad roads, tracks and mountain trekking that really tested my endurance and my back was sore.  Couple of knocks on the head as the vehicle danced to the tune of the undulating terrain. Days when I had terrible diarrhoea, running from one mountain toilet to another. Thank God I had Dr Mike Ong on this trip who is a medical doctor from Singapore, who attended to my condition. Devotion - Psalms 44: 6-7 - Its God who gives the victory

Psalms 44:6-7 - I put no trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory; but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame. Any soldier will know that the basic weapon of warfare, in those days, were the bow and sword. Without which no soldier will not venture into the battle field. Even the famed Goliath was geared in full battle order when he faced David with the stones and the sling. Isn't it a paradox then that David, one of the finest soldiers Israel had ever produced, proclaims that its not the bow and the sword that gives the victory. Its is the Lord, Jehovah, that gives the victory. I don't think David is trying to say that we should not prepare ourselves for warfare. His concern is that we recognize that ultimately its the Lord that gives the victory.
