Flood Relief for the Philippines
Dear Friends,
Relief aid for victims of the floods in the Philippines
As you are aware that the Philippines was recently hit by a series of typhoons recently, the latest being Typhoon Vamco, where many have died, and hundreds of thousands have been evacuated.
Pst Jose Laquihon Reyes, a good friend of mine and a Haggai alumni, is coordinating relief aid for the victims, especially those hit in the coastal areas. Together with his church, they are doing all they can to show the love of Jesus to the victims in these desperate times and also share the good news of Jesus.
I have many pictures to show that the need is genuine. I know Pastor Reyes well and he is a good man.
Here's the overview of the flood victims ONLY in the coastal areas we are ministering to (we cannot handle all).
1. Brgy. SAMPIRUHAN Evacuation centers
A. Cardinal Covered Court - 165 families or/ - 616 individuals
B. Multi-Purpose Hall - 75 families or/ - 249 individuals
TOTAL 1 = 240 families/865 pax
2. Brgy. PALINGON Evacuation Centers:
A. Elementary School Campus - 71 families or/ - 248 individuals
B. High School Campus - 269 families or/ - 959 individuals
C. Covered Court - 66 families or/ - 288 individuals
TOTAL 2 = 406 families/1,495 pax
3. Sitio RONGGOT Situation in Sito Ronggot residential area and evacuation center
1. Lecheria Elem. School Evacuation Center - 34 families or/ - 131 individuals
GRAND-TOTAL 680 families (2,491 pax)
The flood situation is expected to last for about 2-3 months and in the meantime, these victims need food supplies, clean water, health/hygiene amongst others. I know times are hard even in Singapore due to Covid19 but let’s trust God and help those who are in desperate need. I am trying to raise about Sing 10,000 to sow into the lives of these victims to meet their basic needs. Any amount is welcomed.
Please contact me if you want to be part of this project. May God bless you and your household as you consider partnering with us in this project.
