Resurrection Sunday with a difference

Christ is Risen. The war-cry of every believer. If not for the resurrection,  our faith is in vain. Paul would say the following:
  • 1 Cor 15:14 - And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.
This morning I had the privilege of sharing the Word. As we are unable to gather in churches due to the Covid19 "circuit breaker restrictions" it had to be done via the social media. So with technology and with the assistance from Jonathan and Harini, we managed to record and merge both the message and the translation into one file. It was almost perfect. Jonathan led the worship and it was indeed powerful

My text was taken from Luke 24 and the focus was on the two disciples who were making their way to the town of Emmaus on the 3rd day. My focus was especially on this verse:
  •      verse 21 - "but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place."
The two disciples had lost all the hope because they thought Jesus was still dead.  But Jesus appeared to them to resurrect their dead hope. I suggested 5 reasons why their hope was dead.
  1.      Hope was lost because of a Wrong Perception.
  2.       Hope was lost because of a Wrong Plan.
  3.       Hope was lost because of a Wrong Place.
  4.       Hope was lost because of a Wrong Presumptions .
  5.       Hope was lost because of a Wong Persuasion,
