Reflecting on the mission trip

I was much troubled after the visit to Chhattisgarh. Many CPs work in such difficult places and they need desperate prayer and support. Most of the christian world seem clueless what their brethren go through in some parts of the world.

While we sing and shout in our state-of-the-art churches, many out there don't have a roof for a church. We in the cultured christian world are immaculate and fashionale  in our Sunday morning adorning, need a conducive environment for gathering and demand the best instruments and quality singers to stimulate worship.  Even a slight deviation from the structured musical scores, evokes  a grim, deleterious response. Out there, they are dressed in our undesirable clothes, open air gatherings are common, and no musical instruments to brag. Even though they may sing out of tune at times, their's is a sweet smelling savour in His presence, one that catches the attention of heaven, to the extent that it silences the angelic worship.  No need for the song leader to cajole, encourage or even beg the congregation to worship. For them worship is a natural response in the presence of God. Its their way of life.

Many of us are clueless as to what persecution really is. For them, it's a normal growing pain. We hear of persecution, they live in persecution

Yet, they are cheerful, the love the Lord much and dare to call Him, Father, even in the midst of threats, not just for their own lives but also for that of their children. And if they are willing to do all to fulfil the Great Commission, how can we, the reformed and enlightened,  still remain silent and not take the gospel to the ends of the world?
