In the day of Trouble - Psalms 20 (The Royal Psalm)

I am sure all of us face trouble. Most of us everyday. When one goes, another one goes. Trouble seems to have so many relatives, they keep coming one after another. But what do you do when you face trouble. It is important that we have a strategy and plan since we know this is inevitable.

In the day of trouble, pray for others:

Psalms 20 is the prayer of the people for their King David. In the day of their trouble, they prayed for their king., asking God to answer his prayer. If ever one needs to pray for themselves in in a situation when they themselves are in trouble. But the people here have learned move out of the me,means mine mentality and have started to pray for others. This is an important step in christian maturity. Its about time, we stop looking inwards and start seeing others who are in need.

When in trouble pray and and answers:

Verse 6 tells us God hears our prayers. "He will answer him from His holy heaven".  What an assurance. Every time I cry to God in rouble, Ge hears and He answers That is the amazing thing about our God. "This poor man cried and the Lord delivered him from all his troubles." And the Bible is full of examples of people who died to God in trouble and He answered. Hallelujah

When in trouble know God is in control.

Verse 6 again: "Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed". There is always this assurance that God is in control. He knows what He is doing. He will save His anointed. Nothing will harm me. He will see me through.

When in trouble, trust Him.

Verse 7 -"Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God" David was reminded of the children of Israel before the Red Sea. he Egyptians came with the horses and chariots, yet God destroyed the enemy. All they need to do is to remember what God has done in the pasar and praise Him because He is able to do it again. God will always show up, in times of rouble.

Psalms 43:5 Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
