Praising God for another wonderful trip

Jeya and I, together with Bro Rubern retuned home yesterday after a wonderful trip to Orissa.

We witnessed two church dedications in remote places in Rayagada District. It was heartening to see how PEC sponsored church planters are moving into interior parts of Orrisa to plant churches. We moved into Orissa on the Lord's prompting, in spite of resistance from many people. But today when we see the fruits, I know it was all worth it. When we respond to His bidding with full commitment, He ensures the results.

1st church dedication in Juba
The church dedications were held with much fanfare and celebration.  The people were simply overjoyed for their new buildings. We saw an increase in the number of people this time. It is encouraging to see many getting saved and more young people responding to the call to plant churches.

2nd church dedication in Canedi
It was a long drive to the second church dedication. Had to walk about 2km as the vehicle was not able to take the terrain. Also the weather was threatening to downpour. Praise God, it only poured just as we stepped into the church building. Real showers of blessings to cool down the weather. But it was a joy to see the people and sheer happiness on their faces. At both churches they washed our feet before we stepped into the church building.

We met the church planters from Chhattisgarh. It was so good to see them and to ehar what God is doing in their villages. Very difficult place indeed but still God is doing amazing things in those places. People are getting saved and they have requested to conduct a CP training program in Chhattisgarh itself. Moved to see such passion in these people.

We also met the boys from Shadrach Home and the kids from the Jeeva Jothi tuition program. Seriously need a place for the boys in Shadrach Home as the present place is not available from Apr. Also need to look into their training requirements. We just don't want to bring up boys. We want to turn them into priest of the Most High God. Seriously praying for someone who will have the heart to oversee these boys from Singapore.

It was a joy to witness the graduation of the 5th batch in Orissa. Prior to that Jeya and Rubern took a session each with the church planters and all who had gathered for the graduation.

We rounded our trip by visiting one church planter, about an hours drive from Bissam Cuttack, up in the hills. They gather in a house. About 40 people come to worship every Sunday in a room that can take only 15. So you can imagine how cramped it is, with people sitting in adjacent rooms and outside the house. But it was amazing to see the work. Simply overjoyed to part a small part in the process. We praise God for Pst Anjan and his family who have been instrumental in overseeing PEC's work in Orissa and Chharrtisgarh. Faithful men who serve a faithful God. All glory to God.

Rare moment
