Five Months Report of the PEC Church Planters, Tamil Nadu

The following report was submitted by our Tamil Nadu Coordinator, Rev John Signey. He is also the Principal of the PEC- Ecclesia Training Centre.

===============

Praise God for his wonderful blessings. By God's grace and under the banner of Praise Evangelical Ministries our 10 church planters started working in the fields since Mar, after their graduation. They have made some progress in the mission field. Some of them are facing opposition in the villages yet they are persevering for the gospel. We have started to work in 6 districts in the state of Tamil Nadu. As a means of gaining access into the villages Sunday School/Tuition centres have been started in 6 villages. 9 cell groups/house meetings have been started in various villages. This week we will be starting two more Sunday Schools in two new villages. My brother and I often travel to the villages to supervise and help these young church planters.

Some people have accepted Jesus and the church planters are leading them into the next step of water baptism. In Jeyampatti Viruthunagar village where church planter Jacob is working at least 5 people are ready to take water baptism.

Church planer S.Durai Raj is working in a village called Chatram, Karikkal. 4 families have accepted Christ and he will be starting worship services from Aug.

Church Planter Malar Mannan in Kumbakonam reported that 10 people have accepted Christ and he is leading them through the steps of water baptism.

Senthil Kumar and Berling King have started 3 cell groups and the response is good. 10 people are ready for baptism.

T.Dinesh and Balu working in Panicherry, Seerkali said that initially they faced a lot of struggles. They started Sunday school in two places and in one place started prayer cell. Five to seven people come for cell group. Few people who were threatening us at the beginning are silent now. One sister by name Geeta accepted Jesus Christ willing to take baptism. People are strict idol worshippers. "Lot of spiritual struggles but God is giving us encouragements."

The other brothers Ayyapan, K Suresh and Samuel Raja are working hard through the Sunday School and tuition centres.

The monthly support is insufficient yet they work hard in very difficult conditions. Please continue to pray for them that God will bless the work of their hands and we will soon see the first baptism. Pray that they will find favour as they present the gospel to the unreached.

Thank you so much for your passion and the vision and the encouragement and the support you are giving us.

All Glory to God.
