Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

 

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

 

Assam is once again experiencing devastating floods, affecting thousands of families across many districts. Homes have been submerged, crops destroyed, livestock lost, and countless people have been displaced. 

 

 

Many families have been left with nothing and are struggling to obtain food, clean drinking water, clothing, and other basic necessities.

 

 

As followers of Christ, we are called to demonstrate God's love through practical acts of compassion. In times of crisis, the Church must become the hands and feet of Jesus, bringing hope, comfort, and relief to those who are suffering.

 

Our relief goal

 

TEAM2819, together with PEM International – North East India, is launching an emergency relief project to assist 200 flood-affected families.

 

Our goal is to raise S$5,000, which will enable us to provide essential relief packs to families who have lost almost everything.

 

Each family relief pack will include

 

• Dry ration food supplies
• Safe drinking water
• Blankets
• Hygiene and sanitation supplies

 

These essential items will provide immediate assistance while families begin the long process of rebuilding their lives.

 

How the relief will be carried out

 

Relief efforts will be coordinated through our established network of local church planters who have been faithfully serving in the affected communities for many years.

 

The distribution will be carried out through the following process:

• Local church planters will identify the most vulnerable families in consultation with village leaders and local authorities.
• Relief materials will be purchased locally whenever possible to ensure timely distribution and to support the local economy.
• Church planter teams will transport and distribute the relief packs directly to affected villages.
• The entire operation will be supervised by Bishop Samuel Sharma, who will oversee the planning, procurement, distribution, and accountability of the projects.
• Photographs and a ministry report will be shared with supporters after the completion of the relief effort.
