Serving Jesus has a cost

A team of four of us were on our way for a trip to India. Everything fine. We arrived at Chennai Airport at about 7:40AM. Me and another team member cleared the immigrations without any hassle. But the immigration officer began to ask some strange questions to the other member in the line.

The  officer became suspicious and called the whole team for questioning. They took our phones and began to question each one of us in private.

Finally they said that we are doing things not permitted under the visa that we have applied. Hence we were not allowed entry into India. "If you want to do these things, make Sur you get the correct visa", he said.

I asked if we are banned  from entering India. He said, "No, as long as you have the correct visa, you can come anytime".

Our passports were confiscated and we were security escorted all the way back to Singapore. Looked like we were some sort of criminals. 😂

We returned home this morning without any hassle in the Singapore customs.

I am reminded of Pauls words in 2 Timothy 2:9"For which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained."

We were no way near Paul's suffering but can imagine the shame and humiliation he must have been through for the sake of the gospel.

I told my team, that God must have a purpose for not allowing us into India. We may not know any, now, but His ways are higher than ours and all things work for good.
