Weekend at Highpointe Life in Klang

This is a church that Jeya and I always looked forward going to in Malaysia. Over the years we have become very close to the leaders and members and of this church and have partnered many projects in the Mission field.

We spent this weekend in Klang with Pst Stephen Mohan, senior pastor of Highpointe Life, and his dear wife Flora. This time we decided to go one day in advance so as to avoid the holiday crowd. It was a wise decision. Saturday's crowd at the immigrations check point on both sides was simply crazy with human traffic.

We took a bus from Lakin Bus Terminal. The journey took us more than 5 hrs due to heavy traffic along the way, especially at Seremban area, where the bus was crawling at snail's speed. Pst Mohan and Flora were waiting for us at TBS and it was a great joy to meet them.

Over the years we have been frequent at Pst Mohan's place, so much so we have become like family. I met Pst Mohan in Maui in 2011 and the rest was history. God brought us together and many things were accomplished for the Kingdom.

Both of them and their daughter Rebecca were wonderful hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in their home. A lot of catching up to do since the last time we met and talked was about 3 years ago before the pandemic.

We had a wonderful Saturday with them. The day began with a brisk walk at the park for an hour in the morning. Pst Stephen and family have moved to a new location which is quiet, filled with greenery and well developed. We talked and discussed many things from church, family, ministry and of course the never ending subject of polities in Malaysia. And they treated us to see very good food.

In the afternoon Bro Inderjit treated us to a wonderful lunch at the Fisherman's cove in Klang. Bro Inderjit joined us in the last Mission trip to NE India and he was so much on fire for the mission work. We discussed the possibility of starting similar projects in Indonesia and Eastern Europe.

The to my favourite chendol stall by the roadside. Its the best I have tasted so far and its always my pit stop whenever I am in Klang. You sit under the canopy of leaves of a cherry tree and savour every drop. Another out of the world experience. 😆

In the evening we visited Joel, Pst Stephen's son. Joel got married recently and have moved to a new place. Nice and comfortable place with good facilities.

It was sea food dinner in the evening with a few friends from Highpointe Life. Too good for value considering the currency rates.

It was so good to be back at HighPointe this Sunday morning. Met so many familiar faces and this is like our second church. Awesome praise and worship and I had the privilege to share the Word on "Discerning the Times". Many were touched by the message.

After a quick lunch and we rushed to the airport to catch out flight at 4.30 pm. The flight was delayed for about 30 mins. Reached home at about 7.10 pm, got changed and rushed to work.

What a weekend. God has been gracious to us. Almost every week end of this month we have been out of country. Tiring but fulfilling. Thank you Jesus.
