The past does not define you

My history may define my past but what I do from now on, will define my destiny.

Yes, the past can remind you of sin, regrets, failures, unfaithfulness and even of things we dare not speak about. But that does not mean that the future will be the same. God can reverse your future if you are willing to surrender to Him and to His counsel.

I am reminded of the story of the woman at the well in Samaria. Her's was a horrible past. None would want to associate with a woman like that. Her life was one of cheat, adultery, immorality and the list goes on. Such woman should be stoned to death, so says the Jewish law.

But the moment she encountered the Lord Jesus Christ, her future was reverses. She brought the whole village in Samaria to Christ. The cursed woman became a blessing too many.

God can do the same for your life too.

Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take (NLT)
