Fruitfulness - Don't be disappointed when your fruit is not appreciated

I continued my message on fruitfulness, from where I left on the watch night service. I spoke at both the morning and evening service.

The text was from Jeremiah 17:7-8 - Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. 8. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
(KJV: Jeremiah 17: 7 - 8)

I was particularly impressed by the fact that hardly any one really goes back to the tree to thank the tree fro bearing such wonderful fruits. For example, if you have tasted a good fruit from the supermarket, do you go back to find out out where the fruit came from? Certainly NO

That's what happens many times in our lives. People don't appreciate the good that we do for them. Some take it for granted, other take advantage. Worst case scenario, we get insulted for doing good.

Doest not matter. Because there is one who knows the good tree. He is the Gardener.

John 15:1-2 I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

God, the Gardener, recognises the good tree and He prunes it, fertilisers it and takes care of it so that the tree bears more fruits. God puts more blessings on the tree. What an amazing God. There is no need for people to recognise us. If they do, great!!  But if they don't, no worries. Because our Heavenly Father, who sees what's done in secret, will reward openly. And when God blesses, there will be no room to contain it (Mal 3:10). Amen
