Mission Trip to AP/Telangana

We arrived Hyderabad on 13 Jan early morning and Bishop Nehemiah was there to receive us. We had two dedications on the day. Both in Kurnool district.

The 1st church dedication was at Mallepally village, Kurnool District and the 96th church dedicated under PEC. Our son Jonathan sponsored this church. My heart was refreshed, knowing that the God given legacy will carry on. Jeya shared the word on how Jacob wrestled with God to be blessed. The church building was small and it was almost full. The people were so happy to see us, especially now that they have their new building.

We baptised three ladies in this church.

The second church  dedication was in another village about an hr's drive. The village is called Kuthakota, Many youths were in this church. Bro Alvin shared the Word and we prayed for many people.

By the time we reached Hyderabad, it was about 9pm.

On 14 Jan, we left early by flight for Rajahmoundry. From the airport we drove about 2 hrs for the first dedication with a brief stopover at Pst Prabudas's Home. He is our key coordinator in that region. We had two dedication is East Godavari, near Rampachodavarum. These churches were in the interior forested areas. We were told that child sacrifice was still practised in some of these areas. Wild animals roamed there and the Nexalites (terrorist group) had bases in that region. Nevertheless the Lord protected us and was "our shield and strong tower:.

We had a cross a small tributary along the way. As the water level was a bit high we had to walk across the river. It was an adventurous  journey for the team. The ladies were enjoying this experience. Fortunately there we're no crocodiles in the stream.

The first church was in a village called Luzimipuram. Bro Kumar and family sponsored this church. The worship in the church was lively and the reception warm. It was a joy to see how simple people folks worship “In spirit and in truth”. I was overwhelmed at what I witnessed. Sheer delight to see the manner in which these people praised our Lord and worshipped Him. Sis Calai shared the Word and it was her first experience. She did well.

The next church dedication was about 15 km away in Jagarampally, East Godawari. Another lively church with a growing number of people, mostly tribal. Sis Doris from PEC sponsored this building and Bro John Inbaraj shared the Word.

Our return flight was cancelled due to operation reasons and so we had to drive 9 hrs back to Hyderabad. Thank God for good drivers and for His protection.  WE stopped at Vijayawada for dinner and had "tiff buffet", the best meal in the whole trip. Everyone enjoyed the dinner. It was a reprise for the long journey. By the time we reached Hyderabad it was past 1.00 AM, dead tired.

Bro John Inbaraj’s parents from Chennai, also joined us in Hyderabad. They arrived on  Saturday morning. We thank God for them, inspire of their age and health conditions, they came for the trip.
