Reflections

December has been a busy month for all of us in PEC. Two big events, one with the migrant workers on 5 Dec and the other evangelistic meeting on 12 Dec were all full of excitement. We saw many new contacts.  Everything and everyone worked like a clock and in harmony. And they all did it without murmuring or complaining. There were squabs, but healthy ones that pushes each other to do the task better. In fact the last six months has seen many new beginnings. Last three days the youths have been out carolling and bring goodwill and cheer to people in the shopping centre and homes.

Very few people believed that we will exist till today. In fact last night at the prayer meeting, one sister asked if I ever imagined if we would still be here in Dec? I shook my head. Even our own people were standing by sidelines to see if we will be alive till Dec to make their next move. Can't blame them or anyone. The God who searches the hearts knows the truth for sure.

Some would have predicted our downfall and hoped we would dissipate into history. But God has been faithful. We came out stronger that what we ourselves expected. People coming together to pray, working together in harmony and wanting to see the Kingdom of God expanded. The youths have never been so vibrant as they are today. The skeptics and the doubtors are slowly finding their  nithces and coming back again. People who have left are coming back slowly as per the prophecy given in Sep. I strongly believe by the middle of 2016, we will start the second English service for the morning.

Contrary to what I have heard, I found the ministry staff to be be full of initiative and passion. In fact most of the activities in the last six months were their initiatives and their hard work. "A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way" - John C. Maxwell. With right motivation and example, anyone can be guided to achieve their maximum potential. Of course there is still work to be done, not just in them, but in everyone's lives. We strive to perection.....

For me personally it has been a very challenging six months.  and my wife know and that is enough.  Its doesn't matter what people say or think, especially when they say and do things without find out the facts. The truth does not need to defend itself. Te now who is the TRUTH is Himself the defence. Keep your focus on what needs to be done not what has been done.

My solace is Psalms 46:1-7
God is our refuge and strength,
 an ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
 and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 Though its waters roar and foam
 and the mountains quake with their surging.
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
 the holy place where the Most High dwells.
God is within her, she will not fall;
 God will help her at break of day.
Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
 he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

The Lord Almighty is with us;
 the God of Jacob is our fortress.
I also believe the time has come for PEC to to move into the next gear and enlarge its territory  as per God's given vision. Today our church board is very united and the members standing by to work together.  No one is building their own kingdom but everyone working to built the kingdom of God.  There are still some rough edges, but God will help to smoothen them. Our youths are on fire and waiting to surge ahead. With the power of the Holy Spirit we will enlarge, stretch and strengthen in 2016.

Merry Christmas
