Three important facts about missions

Three important facts about evangelism and missions we should take heed.

1.   Evangelism and missions are the most important function of the church. Yet it is the most neglected. A simple analysis of any church budget would indicate how much importance is attached to this responsibility. You will be surprised to know that most churches spent less than 20% of their income on missions and evangelism when in actual fact it should have been allocated the biggest portion of our budget. Jesus' last words before leaving this earth is, "Go therefore and make disciples". Mat 28:19-20

2.   Missions and evangelism is the only thing we will not be doing in heaven. Because there will be no sinners in heaven. Praise and worship, Bible Study, fellowship will still continue in heaven, not evangelism. If this is true, than we must take this task seriously.

3.   Every individual Christian has the responsibility to share the gospel . Not the pastor or the church leadership or someone else. Every one has the responsibility. But surveys indicate more that 90% of Christians do not share their faith with anyone. Rom 10:14 - ...And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard...

Luke 10:2 -  He told them, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field
