Berastagi 3-6 Jul

We conducted "Equip Leadership" training for leaders in Elim Kairos Church from 3-5 Jul. A total of six sessions. About 30 leaders participated in the 3 day training program. The discussions were lively and they had many good questions. The feedback was good and the leaders said it was impactful.

Bishop Ezra said that all pastors in Medan should attend this program. Thankful to Pastor Daniel Ginting for the translation during the sessions.

During the trip we had an emergency. Our faith was tested. Rev James and his group were in Lake Toba and on 3 Jul night, he had severe chest pains and breathing difficulties. In the words of Bro James, "I thought I was going to go". (Rev James Ng already had some heart issues even before the trip and other serious complications and yet he wanted to come on this trip to bless his friends).

We had to call an ambulance at about midnight and he was rushed to an hospital in Medan. The journey took about 3 hrs by road. By the grace of God, Bishop Ezra was able to make all the arrangements in the short duration and Rev James was admitted to the ICU in the hospital in Medan. The doctors in the hospital assessed his condition as critical. That night we were not able to sleep. We all prayed for Rev James, including the intercessors in PEC, Singapore. The Singapore Consulate in Medan was very helpful and they were prepared to fly Rev James to Singapore by a medial flight, if the situation warranted. The Consulate Chief also visited Rev James in the hospital. There was exceptional favour.

And God answered our prayers. Later that day, Rev James showed much recovery and miraculously he was discharged the next day. God answered the cries of His people. Our God is an awesome God and He reigns.

On 6 Jul, we all headed back to Medan and took out flight to Singapore, including Rev James and his team. We thank God that we  were able to fulfil all our objectives and have a very fruitful trip. Also much thankful to Bishop Ezra for his partnership in the ministry and for all the quick coordination in saving the life of Rev James. We would not know what to do without him.

To God be the glory.
