Sunday Morning service at PEC - The church in Smyrna

Here in PEC Singapore we are looking at the seven churches in the Book of Revelation. Last week Bro babu James spoke on the Church in Ephesus. This morning I spoke of the Church in Smyrna - The so-called suffering church. Rev 2:8-11

I argued that from God's perspective this church is not a poor, persecuted church but rather a "rich' church. Jesus saw this church as "rich' inspire of all that they were going through.

I shared four perspectives from God's point of view.

  • His Personification
  • His Perception
  • His Prescription
  • His Presentation

The example of the church in Smyrna is a powerful reminder of the enduring nature of true faith.

Let us learn from their perseverance and courage in the face of persecution.

Remember who Jesus is- The son of God

Remember How the Lord sees us – He knows

Remember His encouragement – Don’t be afraid; Be faithful

Remember His rewards – The crown of life

May we embrace endurance, discern falsehood, and trust in our sovereign Savior, knowing that He walks with us through every trial.
