Praise God for the work of our church planters

Image
Bishop Anjan gave another update on the work done by our church planters Today he visited a new field in  Kalahandi District.  Brother Nasib Nag one of our trainees has started a new work in this village. There were no christians or a church in this village before.  Last year he completed the church planters training in PEC  Training  Centre and started ministry in his own village.  After six months labour,  t wo families have come to the Lord and few more are willing to accept Jesus. Brother Nasib is from a very poor family. But very strong in faith. There are altogether six members in his house . He is the elder son . Due to sickness his father is not able to work. Please pray for this brother and his ministry. Kindly pray for the father's healing as well. Let's pray that God will provide for the  substance  of this new work. To God be the glory.

Regional VFDS

Thanking God for the opportunity to be part of the Regional Virtual Faculty Development Seminar as one of the coaches. The virtual seminar took place from 6-25 Sep. Altogether there were 19 participants from Cambodia,  Malaysia  and  Singapore. Together with Bro Nelson from Indinesia, we were coaches for the Mandate Cohort. Bro Nelson is an excellent coach with a heart of humility. This is my first time as a coach for Faculty  Development  and it was a wonderful experience. Kudos to the organisers. It was very well organised, professional and par excellance. I was  privileged  to work with  senior and well qualified people in this development. Many of them had high distinctions in their secular careers. I am probably the least qualified. Inspire of all their achievements in their lives, I was humbled by their passion, humility and commitment for our Lord Jesus Christ. Everyone bent on ending gospel poverty. It was also a learning experience for me as I too learned many things from the

Engagement with ICPF BLR get-together

This morning I had the opportunity of speaking to more than 50 members of the Inter Collegiate Prayer Fellowship and their associated partners. Most of them are missionaries from Kerala who are passionate about reaching the next generation. Their primary ministry is to reach out to the college and university students with the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is so  heartening  to know that  there  are so many young people so passionate about ending gospel poverty. I am thankful to Bro Sujin for extending the invitation for me to speak to these people of God. Sujin was one of the participants who  attended  the VHLE a few months ago. He is very  much  involved in church planting and has a true  humble spirit . After the  meeting  Bro Sujin, texted me the following: "[1:08 pm, 25/09/2021] Sujin: Th ank you Bro Rama. It  was a very strong challenge, most of the people who joined in today are part or leading ministries, many had been down some dishearten due to covid times, and laid-back ne

Update from Odisha

Image
On 17 Sep, 5 members took the step of water baptism in Beruguda village,  Kalahandi District, Odisha. Many more souls need to be reached for the Kingdom of God. On 16 Sep, we had a one day seminar for all our  church  planters and pastors. Rev George Khoo from Singapore, taught on the subject of the Everyday Commission and an overview of the Book of Ephesians. Praising God for all these wonderful men, who are working in very remote places with very little  assistance . Praying that God will provide for their needs though the believers. To God be the glory

They never stopped ....

Acts 4:42 -   Day after day, in the temple courts  and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news  that Jesus is the Messiah. Acts C haplet  4 ends with the words..."they never stopped". The  apostles  never stopped teaching and  preaching  the gospel (the good news that Jesus is the Messiah). Earlier on in the chapter we read how they apostles  were  beaten and imprisoned  for speaking in public he name of Jesus. They were flogged,  threatened and offered not to soap in their Name.  Look at the reactions of the apostles: verse 29 - ... We must obey God rather than human beings!   verse 41 - ... rejoicing  because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name, Nothing could stop them from reaching the lost and making them disciples. This was the passion and commitment that drove the early  apostles, to reach their world for Jesus. with the power of the Holy Spirit, they " filled Jerusalem with your teaching". L

An hectic week

It has been a very hectic week. Everyday we had zoom sessions with our training centres in Tamil Nadu. In addition we also had a whole day seminar on 8 Sep for AP church planters/pastors. I was also involved in the evening with the VFDS program for the Haggai alumni in Malaysia. Nevertheless, God's grace was sufficient. His mercies are new every morning. This morning I was reading Acts 2 and towards the ed of the chapter I was reminded of the devotion of the early church: Acts 2:42 -   They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching   and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread   and to prayer.   This was a daily affair. A daily devotion to: God's Word Fellowship Discipleship Prayer Herein lies the secret to spiritual growth. As one  indulges  in deep  study  and meditation of the Word, as prayer becomes our daily hallmark and  care  and concern for the church of God (fellowship), not only does the individual  grow, but the body of Christ grows as well.  I noticed that their

Praise Evangelical Church – A Missions Minded Church

Image
Introduction Praise Evangelical Church (PEC), Singapore, believes wholeheartedly in the Great Commission.  Jesus said in  Mathew 28: 19-20 : “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Not only does PEC believe in the Great Commission, but we are also convinced that it is our responsibility to fulfil it, realizing that time is short. Therefore, in the last few years we have worked diligently to achieve our vision and mission. Our vision:   In partnership with the local church, to train church planters and evangelism teams and help them to reach the unreached, and establish churches in the states/countries, the Holy Spirit will lead us.  Mat 28:19-20 To equip Leaders/Church Planters/pastors in attaining the full measure of the fullness of Christ by conducting seminars/courses based

Promise verse Sep 2021

Image
I was impressed in my heart to share this verse for the month of Sep. We live in very  unprecedented times. Covid19  is a crisis of uncertainty which came at a shocking speed and a stunning scale. Since it was detected in late 2019, it is not anywhere near its end.    In the Middle East  , last week we the collapse of the government in Afghanistan and the infiltration of the terrorists.   In the US and Europe , we are seeing the rapid decline of moral values and liberalism is being celebrated in unimaginable ways.   No matter what, God is still in control. He will make a way in the wilderness and streams of water in the desert.  Let's not give up hope. Continue to trust the Lord, pray in faith believing God;s Word. God will perform a miracle for you and me. Don Moen wrote this beautiful song that says: God will make a way Where there seems to be no way He works in ways we cannot see He will make a way for me He will be my guide Hold me closely to His side With love and strength for
