Trip to India

I arrived Hyderabad on 6 Jun early morning. Bishop Nehemiah was there as usual to pick me up. From the airport we drove all the way to Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh. The journey took a torturing 11 hrs through deep forests and hills. These areas are infested with Naxalities who are notorious for their terrorism. After this exhausting journey, I don't think we will try this route again.

By the time we reached Jagdalpur, we were late for the church dedication. Had a quick shower in a motel and left for the church dedication.

This is the first PE Church to be dedicated in Chhattisgarh. This is PEC’s 127th church building. More than 200 people gathered for the event. It was indeed an historic moment and another milestone in PEC’s mission work. We thank God for all that he is doing in the mission field. We also dedication a tuition center which is just located beside the church. This centre was sponsored by Bro Jeremy Ho.

By the time the dedication was over it was about 4 pm. We then departed for Bhadrachalum in TS, which was about seven hours drive. By the time We reached the hotel it was quite late in the night. Extremely tired but filled with great joy. The reason was obvious. Good thing, it was mango season. That was my dinner with a packet of murukku.

7 Jun

In the morning we set off for two church dedications. Along the way we stopped to dedicate a bore well. This was sponsored by our daughter, Jecintha Reena. This well will be a source of blessing not only to the church but also to the community.

The first church is located in a village called Pagideru in Bhadaradrikothagudem. Many people came for the dedication. After a short service we left for the second church.
The second church is located in Bandhagirinagaram, TS. This church was sponsored by one of the migrant workers, Bro Dass, who attends the evening service. It is indeed humbling to know that our Indian brothers give sacrificially to the Lord.

The church is located in a remote village and many people came for the dedication.

We then set off on a seven hour journey to Hyderabad to receive the youths who will be joining for the rest of the trip. The weather was hot with high humidity. I was literally drenched in my sweat when I was speaking at the church dedications.
