Watch night service

We had a good turnout for the watch night. Great fellowship over dinner although the rain made it a little inconvenient. Nevertheless the people adjusted and the F&B team did a great job.
Emcees for the night did an excellent job
The watch night service saw the young adults taking the lead in worship and in the testimonies. It was a joy to know that the next generation is taking the lead.
I shared on the "Review of 2018". I highlighted the good and the not so good in PEC. Challenged the people to move ahead in 2019 knowing that God will be with us and He will lead the way.

Bro Babu James led us in a victorious praise march into the New Year, with a prophetic utterance for the New Year. A powerful move of the Holy Spirit was felt at this point.

This is what the Lord says:
  • God will open a new way. He will make the path straight
  • Do not fear because God goes before you
  • Do not feat beaus the Almighty God will carry you through
  • NO evil will come near your dwelling.
  • Your children will she unto the Lord
  • This year your families will be blessed in a special way
  • This year the Lord is going to give a new anointing to this church
  • Church is going to be restored
  • There is going to be a new anointing over the leaders of the church
  • Very single person will shine for the Lord
  • PEC will make a difference in this locality
  • Till now you were looking at your inabilities and your unworthiness but from now you will see the power of the Lord working in your lives
  • God's strength is sufficient for you and in your weakness His strength will be made perfect
  • You will go from victory to victory and no powers of darkness, no powers of hell will be able to conquer you this year
  • This year is going to be a victories year knowing that the Lord is going to lead us
Pst Alvin shared the New Year's theme and message and also served the communion. This is his first as pastor of PEC and it was a great start. The theme for the year is "Awakening - Restore and Revise"- Psalms 85:4-6

The promise verse for Jan 19 - Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you;  I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

2018 has been great year for us in Missions. But locally the church needs to come to gather and move forward in evangelism. I believe this year the Lord will bring in more people to PEC. We need to pray and persevere.

I also glad that I have handed over the responsibilities of Pastor to Alvin and its now him and the next generation leaders to take the baton and move forward.

My next agenda is to groom a another suitable person for missions. Praying that God will give us the right person.

One that that broke my heart at the end of this year is that one of the pillar families of our church decided to move on to another place of worship. Heart breaking but in our life, nothing moves outside God's purposes and plan.  In the final analysis He has the final say.

Proverbs 16:33 Make your motions and cast your votes, but God has the final say. (MSG)

I am not sure what this move will unfold but one thing is sure, for 2019 and beyond:
  • God will see us through
  • He has gone before us
  • He will built this church
  • He will bring in the people
  • We will still be the head and not the tail
  • He will not put PEC to shame.
I am thankful to God for the faithful ones in PEC. These stood by us in all weather. May the Lord continue to bless them and grant them the desires of their hearts. I am specially thankful to the Lord for current leadership. Excellent men with a great passion for the Lord. May the Lord honor them and their families for the sacrifices they had made for the kingdom. God  has never shortchanged anyone who has totally committed themselves to His service. "They will excel beyond measure. Their childen will rule the earth."

To God be the glory.
