Of all the people who came to Jesus, he was probably the only one where its recorded went away disappointed.
From the passage, what matters most depends on three important factors
Of all the people who came to Jesus, he was probably the only one where its recorded went away disappointed.
- He was successful as far as the world is concerned
- He was successful as far as the church is concerned
But Jesus saw through his heart to know that he was not committed to the real important issues that mattered to God.

standing in society, what mattered
most to him did not matter with God.
- Who is your point of reference
- For this young ruler, Jesus was only a teacher. He took reference from a man and not the son of God
- What are your pre-occuptaions
