Mission Trip to AP - 18-26 Sep 2010

Praise God for another fruitful trip to the mission field. Four members from PEC embarked on this trip. We had two church dedications and a 3-Day Church Planters' Seminar. Subjects taught were Stewardship, Models of Evangelism, Book of James and Leadership. I took the subject of Leadership using John Maxwell's Equip Training Material. It was well received and I myself was challenged while teaching the sessions. All Glory to God.

We travelled by night on the train from Hyderabad to Kakinada. The church dedication was at a fishermen's village about 25 km from Kakinada town. We thank God for our church planter Pst Jeyapal who had laboured to start a work in the village. As we entered the village we were swarmed by flies in such numbers that we have never seen. Yet in such conditions Jeyapal has pioneered a work for God's glory.

Today about 50 people are attending the church. I was moved as I watched the congregation worshiping God in such a freedom and sincerity. I have seen Jeyapal come to our training centre in Kurnool as a young man. Over the last four years we had met , prayed and equipped him to reach the unreached. Today he has his own congregation and his own church building. The building was donated by a Chinese brother in Singapore (not a PEC member) who believes in our vision to reach every village in AP with the gospel. We thank God for such committed people who are willing to partner with us in our mission.

We visited three other church planters' work in the interior of Kurnool and East Godawari Districts. It was really amazing to see the passion of our church planters who are willing to go the ends of the state in remote areas just to preach the gospel. One such church planter is David Raju. You have to travel on bumpy sand tracks and walk a distance to reach the village in the interior of Kurnool district. His group of 20 believers gather in an open ground and sit on a mat. There they worship and praise God. Cows and other domestic animals watch the proceedings as these people open their hearts to our Lord Jesus Christ. May God bless and honour these young men. Lets pray that many more souls will be added to God's kingdom.

We thank God for connecting us with capable men with like-minded vision like Bishop Nehemiah, who has a verve of vibrant passion and a driving desire to see his people come to know Jesus as their Lord. All Glory to God.
