Mother's Day at Jesus Lives Church

Today was truly one of the most emotional and unforgettable Mother’s Day celebrations for our family. My heart is overflowing with gratitude, joy, and awe at the faithfulness of God.

It was such a precious honour to see my beloved mother being recognised and honoured on Mother’s Day at Jesus Lives Church. As I sat there watching her receive this special appreciation, I could not help but reflect on the incredible journey of faith, sacrifice, prayer, and quiet obedience that marked her life.

Many years ago, my mother faithfully sowed seeds of the Gospel into the lives of the late Apostle Suppiah and his dear wife Letchimi Suppiah, lovingly bringing their family to know the Lord Jesus Christ. What began as a simple act of obedience and evangelism has now blossomed into a living testimony of God’s multiplying grace. Today, a thriving church stands as fruit from those seeds that were sown in faith and tears.

Both Apostle Suppiah and Sister Letcmi have since gone home to be with the Lord, but their legacy continues powerfully through their children. It was deeply touching to hear Pastor Jonathan share how my family played such an important role in laying the spiritual foundations during those early years. His heartfelt words brought tears to my eyes.

Today, Pastor Jonathan faithfully oversees the church, while his brother Pastor Joshua shepherds another church in Woodlands. Seeing both brothers, and their family, serving the Lord wholeheartedly as pastors is such a beautiful reminder that when seeds are planted in faith, generations can be transformed for the Kingdom of God.

What moved me even more was seeing close to 200 people gathered in the congregation today, worshipping, praying, and hearing the Word of God, all because someone once chose to share the Gospel and never give up.

This day reminded me afresh: never underestimate the power of evangelism. We may plant the seed, we may water it with prayer and love, but it is the Holy Spirit who brings conviction and causes growth. Our responsibility is simply to remain faithful, persistent, and obedient in sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

On this Mother’s Day, I celebrate not only my mother’s love as a parent, but also her spiritual motherhood, her willingness to pour into lives, pray faithfully, and lead others to Christ. The impact of one surrendered life can echo through generations.

I am so deeply grateful to Pastor Jonathan Suppiah and his family for making this occasion so meaningful and beautiful for my mother. The love, honour, and appreciation shown today will remain in our hearts forever.

My heart is truly overwhelmed, overwhelmed by God’s goodness, by His faithfulness across generations, and by the beautiful fruit that has come from one faithful seed sown many years ago.

To God be all the glory.
