TEAM 2819 - 1st Missions Conference in Berastagi 28 Jan-2 Feb

About a year ago, the Lord placed a desire in my heart to hold a missions conference for all our coordinators, sponsors and our mission team. At that time, I was unsure how it would turn out. The logistical arrangements seemed complex, and there were many uncertainties. 

 

Towards the middle of last year the need for the conference became urgent.  In Apr 2025, due to a deliberate decision made after much consultation and prayer,  we decided to form an NGO - TEAM 2819 to continue the mission work under this new banner. 

 

As we continued to pray and step forward in faith, God began to make the way.


The Participants 

In His provision and grace, the conference became a reality. We were blessed to welcome about 28 participants from 9 different countries. The following countries were represented:  Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, India, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal and US.


What began as a quiet prompting from the Lord turned into a gathering that was deeply encouraging and spiritually enriching.

 

The time we spent together was truly a great blessing. It was a particular joy to gather under one roof with our coordinators, sponsors, and ministry partners — many of whom had previously only been connected through messages, calls, or social media. For some, this was the first opportunity to meet face-to-face, turning distant familiarity into genuine fellowship. For others, it was a meaningful reunion that strengthened long-standing relationships.

 

These moments of personal interaction went beyond formal sessions; they deepened trust, encouraged mutual understanding, and reminded us that we are part of one body working toward a shared calling. The fellowship, conversations, and shared testimonies enriched the entire experience and strengthened the bonds that sustain our partnership in ministry.

 

We thank God for His faithfulness and for all who participated, supported, and prayed for this conference.

Devotion - Psalms 44: 6-7 - Its God who gives the victory

Psalms 44:6-7 - I put no trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory; but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame. Any soldier will know that the basic weapon of warfare, in those days, were the bow and sword. Without which no soldier will not venture into the battle field. Even the famed Goliath was geared in full battle order when he faced David with the stones and the sling. Isn't it a paradox then that David, one of the finest soldiers Israel had ever produced, proclaims that its not the bow and the sword that gives the victory. Its is the Lord, Jehovah, that gives the victory. I don't think David is trying to say that we should not prepare ourselves for warfare.
