Short trip to Klang
Jeya and I went to Klang, Malaysia, from 1-3 Apr. The main purpose of the visit to was see Sis Usha, Pst Pathi's wife, who had a serious accident at home and underwent a major head surgery.
As usual Pst Stephen Chandran and his wife Flora came to pick us from the airport, even though we arrived past 10:00PM. We have become like family over the years and was indeed a joy to see them again.
On 2 Apr morning, we visited Sis Usha. Pst Pathi is the Missions Pastor of HighPointe Life and we have partnered together on number of occasions in the mission field. Both husband and wife are truly committed to the Lord and to His Kingdom. Both have been with us on missions trips and they themselves are overseeing a big church planting movement in India.
Sis Usha is indeed a walking miracle. By God's grace, she is recovering well, she is able to recognised and remember a lot of things and on the road to full recovery. Anyone in the medical field will tell you that this is indeed a miracle. We are indeed thankful to the Lord for answering the prayer of His saints.
We spent a lot of time with Pst Chandran and Flora. They were indeed a blessing and encouragement to us in this time of many challenges. God indeed sends His ravens at the right time. We were blessed to know that we are not alone in this warfare.
Yesterday evening we had dinner with the pastors and their wives in HighPoine life. Pst Rene and his wife Suan Sim. had graciously opened their home for the gathering. We had a wonderful time of sharing of the goodness of God and the work in the mission field. Our hearts were much lifted after speaking to like minded people who shared the same vision, same focus and on the same page for the Kingdom.
I am reminded of Malachi 3:16, which the Message Bible beautifully expresses:
"Then those whose lives honored God got together and talked it over. God saw what they were doing and listened in. A book was opened in God’s presence, and minutes were taken of the meeting, with the names of the God-fearers written down—all the names of those who honored God’s name."
This verse paints a powerful picture of God’s delight in the conversations of His people. When believers gather to speak about Him, He listens attentively, values their words, and even records their names in His presence. It is a reminder that every discussion about God, every testimony shared, and every word spoken in faith matters to Him.
This morning we had breakfast with Pst Chandran and Flora at the Yakun Kaya Toast, KLIA International terminal 1, before we headed home.
God is good.
