Blessed to be a Blessing

Blessing the needy in Myanmar

God's very nature is to bless people, especially those who love Him with all their heart. Since we are partakers of His divine nature, then it behoves us to do the same.

The cultural mandate, God's governing instrument for His Kingdom on earth, enforces this virtue. Genesis 1:28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it....

The blessings on the patriarchs and on the nation of Israel, underscored this purpose for humanity. "In you will all the nations of the earth be blessed...."

Our Lord Jesus reenforced this imperative in the sermon of the mount when He described His followers as the salt and the light of the earth. Matthew 5:16 - "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

This is what we have been doing in our mission field. The tuition centres, assistance in the time of calamity and pestilence, bore wells and meeting other social needs are some of the ways we have been a blessing to the nations.

Here in Singapore we are distributing goody bags to the migrant workers to show our love and appreciation for all that they are doing for our nation.

But the greatest blessing we can give to anyone is by fulfilling the Great Commission.

Matthew 28:19-20 -Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” This is our core theme in our mission endeavours. Bringing the gospel to the ends of the word to end gospel poverty. So that every one is given an opportunity to make a decision for Christ.

What will be the light you will be shining to let people "see your good works and glorify the Father in heaven".

In PEC missions, we are providing you an opportunity to do so. Come, join us as, we fulfil both the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.
