God is still on the throne

Two amazing testimonies I had this week. One was speaking to a lady who converted from the majority.  Simply listening to her testimony made me stand in awe before the Almighty God. It only shoes how we limit God with my finite mind. God stills says, Nothing is impossible with Him. The second. On Monday night one of my coordinators called asking to restart a CP training program. I had already delayed it due to lack of funds. This time I said, "I don't know where the money will come from but let's start in faith" Yesterday I removed a message from a lady stating that she is transferring some money for the work in that particular country and for CP work. I was like, OMG.  God is still on the throne.  God cannot be limited by our limited frame. The moment we see His limitlessness, there is no limit to what God can do for us John 11:40 - Jesus responded, "Didn't I tell you that you would see God's glory if you believe?"  o God be the Glory. ...

Another church dedication

Image
I am seated in the airport waiting area for my departure to Singapore. We had a long day. We traveled 270 km from Hyderabad to the church dedication. This village is called Muddavaram, Kurnool District.  About 70 people turned up for the church dedication. These people worshipped the Lord in Spirit and in Truth. I shared the Word about the story in Luke 7, the Widow of Nain. The people listened attentively.  By the time we finished the service it was past 2 PM and we decided to go to the airport straight. So here we are, nice and early in Hyderabad International Airport, with a lot of time to finish the report and reflect.  It has been a short but good trip. Josephine and Albert enjoyed teaching the students in the Training Centre and are seeing the fruit of their labour on the ground. We are so blessed by the parternship of this committed couple. I am delighted to see another three church dedications and that brings the total to 117. I am thankful that...

PEC Vavilala We had two church dedications today and had to drive about 250 km to reach the first destination. We departed PEC Training Centre about about 8:15AM and reached the first village at 12:00PM. It was in a place called Vavilala in Mahabubad District, TS.  We were welcomed by a group of ladies from the Banjara Tribe in their traditional clothes and dance. It was pleasant and heart warming to see these simple people welcoming us with great joy.   This church is sponsored by Sis Shantung and family. We are thankful to such people who share the vision of PEC. More than 150 people gathered for the church dedication. SIs Josephine shared the Word and we prayed for the people in need.  The next church was about 30 mins away in a village called Laxshimipuram, also in Mahabubad District, TS. It is a small village and about 50mpeople gathered for the dedication.  This church is sponsored by the PEC Sembawang Care G...

Sunday Service in Rasoolpura

Image
We had a great service in Rasoolpura today. Church was filled and Bro Albert shared the Word. I continued with an exhortation from Ps 34 - God will deliver you from all your afflictions. They also celebrated Fathers' Day by cutting a cake for all the fathers.  It was my privilege to pray for them

Ministry in Hyderabad

Image
Bro Albert and Sis Josephine have been in Hyderabad since 10 Jul. They have been teaching the Church Planters on two modules. The students are good and responsive. One batch will graduate on Saturday. I arrived Hyderabad at about 00:30AM on 16 Jun. Bishop Nehemiah was at the airport as usual to pick me up.  This time we are putting up at the new PEC Training Centre. Bishop has prepared a nice comfortable room for me. Bro Albert and Sis Josephine came in a week ago. They had been teaching the church planters.  In the morning more than 50 church planters and pastors gathered in Rasoolpura church. I taught them on the "Leader and Temptation".  The we had the consecration of Bishop for Rev T Prabudas and the graduation of church planters. Rev Prabudas has been working with PEC for the last 10 years and has trained more than 60 church planters and has a number of church planters working under him in agency areas near the Odisha border. He truly deserves ...

Sunday morning - The Persecuted church

For the next two months we are looking at the seven churches in Revelation. This morning I spoke on The Smyrna Church – The Suffering church, the text taken from  Rev 2:8 . Why are there poor in the world? Some are poor by Choice. Because of Calamity. Because of Sin and Laziness Because of Oppression from the rich and powerful Some because of their faith There was no criticism for this church. Two noteworthy comments from Jesus, who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again. They were extremely poor There were persecuted to the point of death Why? Because the refused to compromise their believe in the Lord Jesus and refused to bow to Caesar. They paid it with their lives. But Jesus did not remove their suffering, instead he encouraged them to "Be Faithful" Rev 2:11 -  Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who is victorious will not be h...

Visit to Indian village and seminar closing

Image
This afternoon we visited the Indian village about 30 mins drive from MTC. Pst Pathi had first hand view of the situation in this village. Pst Pathi shared the Word from his heart, encouraged the believers to trust God in the difficult situation. In the meeting a man came forward for prayer. He complained of back pain and had difficulty in sleeping and bending. He had this problem for months. We prayed for him in Jesus Name and he was healed instantly. Glory to God. The man on the left was healed instantaneously   That evening we had the closing for the seminar. I spoke on  Jeremiah 17:8. And we prayed for all the church planters towards the end of the service. Awesome presence of God was felt .  To God be the glory

Church Planters Seminar in Yangon

Image
The last few days have been really exciting. We had the privilege of having Rev Tissa and his wife ministering to our church planters on "Reaching the Buddhists".  Everyone who attended the sessions aid that it was very informative and opted new ways to speak to Buddhists about Jesus. Rev Tissa was a real encouragement and with his usual sense of humor, there was never a dull movement. So blessed with this man, inspire of his seniority and great accomplishments in the ministry, remained so humble. Great a lesson for me to learn. Rev Tissa and his wife left this morning. Add to this was Victor and his unique sense of humor, although some may find it a bit of a nuisance. But he had his wife are a great couple and with great passion for missions. Victor taught the participants on Stewardship and Ushering and Hospitality. The lessons were well received.  Although Pathi missed his visa on Monday, he managed to applyfor it and joined us on Wednesday. He took sessions Lea...

PEC Church Planters Retreat in Yangon

Image
It was a jerky start in the morning. Pst Pathi called about 5:00AM from KLIA to inform that he has not applied for the visa and that he will have to reschedule his flight.  I was the first to arrive in Yangon at about 9AM, followed by Bro Victor and his wife Sharon. Rev Tissa and his wife arrived at about 11:15 PM. It was a great joy to meet Rev Tissa. In spite of his age and medical condition, he still goes around sharing the love of Jesus. He was really humble enough to accept the invitation to speak to our church planters, about 30 of them. We stopped at "Golden Duck Restaurant" for lunch before proceeding to our hotel in Thanlyn. It was a grand opening today. Both the new batch of church planters and BTh students were welcomed at the ceremony. The sining ws vibrant and I shared about PEC church planting efforts in the mission field. Re Tissa shared the words. He really encouraged and challenged all the students by his testimonies and with the Word o...

Mr and Mrs Rubern Bala's 25th Wedding Anniversary

Image
Last night the two daughters arranged a surprise celebration for their parents. It was so sweet of them to organise they even. About 50 close firneds and church members gathered for this lovely event. I shared from Ecc 4:9-12 Two are better than one when you are at work Two are better than one when you haven fallen  dow Two are better than one when you are in the cold. Two are better than one when you are in a fight It was good to reflect the faithfulness of God in Bro Rubern's life and also in their marriage. In spite of many challenges and difficulties they had remained faithful. Many shared how Bro Rubern and his wife had blessed and impacted their lives. To God be the glory.

Promise verse for Jun 18

Image
I shared this verse in the morning prayer at 6:00AM today. 20 faithful people came for the prayer. I guess rain was an excuse for some. Nevertheless the Holy Spirit was present. And He always is, rain or shine. How much more should we!!!!! A favourite Psalm of many but the actual circumstances that led David to pen it could be fascinating.   This Psalm was written after his experience in Gath of the Philistines. That experience is well captured in 1 Samuel 21 and 27 . T he same shepherd boy: Who killed Goliath with one stone and a sling Who defied the armies of the Philistines Remember " Saul  killed his thousands and David his ten thousands" Who won all the battles he fought Now runs for his life and looks for a weapon Goes to Gath the city of Goliath with Goliath's sword His judgements seems to wane Discretion  seems  distorted He resorts to lies, deception gives in to fear and makes rash decisions Trust in God seems decimated   I...
